Mold on hash?????

    I picked up some hash the other day, didn't look bad when I got it. I threw it in my mason jar and over the weekend it appears to have grown mold. Can anybody explain this or confirm that it's mold? Here's the best pictures I could get...

    I think it's unusual because I picked up the block less than a day after it was produced.

    The second one looks like white mold to me but I don't smoke hash and have never handled it so I wouldn't know for sure

    you should have burped your jar like your curing bud that prolly would have kept the moisture down hints no mold can grow. its not your/dealers fault. it prolly got a little wet somewhere along the line. just scrape it off i guess never had mold problems with hash.

    Break it in half then take a picture of the insides

    Sometimes hash is still damp even if its in clumps like that. I had a lot that was like that. I just left it in a bag but left the seal open just a bit for air.

    yeah it looks like mild-mold, I'm not really sure what to tell you but I guess you could try to heat it up a bit in the oven to kill off some of the bacteria but I have no idea what that'll do to the hash itself.

    I'm sorry bro but I wouldn't smoke that, even if you pick the peices of mold out their is no way to tell if it spread to other places.

    I took a knife and cut off all the edges with a good amount of what appeared to be "good" hash from the inside out also. I'm gonna let it sit for another few days and see if anything grows back. I think mold grew because it was SO fresh when i got it and then I let it sit in a mason jar for 2 days without touching it. if mold grows back by the weekend i'm just gonna toss it. 90 bucks of hash, gone.
