I'll keep it short had my shit in jars for curing went out of town 3 days ,i come back and I have mold in small amounts what can I do to save it
Supposed to burp the jars quite a lot in the beginning of curing. I follow this "basic" 4 week cure after a 4-5 day dry time depending on the RH% of the drying room/area or until stem cracks. Week 1: Open the jars 4 times a day for 5 minutes to exchange the "damp" air (inside the jar) for some dry (fresh) air from outside the jar. This is called "burping". Re-arrange the buds to inspect for any mold or mildew! Week 2: Open the jars once every other day for 5 minutes. Inspect buds! Week 3: Open the jar to burp only twice during the entire week. Inspect nugs! Week 4: Do NOT open the jar for the entire week. If its not up to par yet repeat "Week 4" for a 5th week or until the buds meet your liking! As far as the mold, rip off the moldy pieces and make some hash with em. As far as the other nugs, I would NOT keep them in jars. I would let them dry some more and then MAYBE throw them back in the jars. I've never been in this situation, so I dont know exactly what to tell you. Hopefully more people throw in their input.
