  1. hi guys,

it is really wierd, i can't find pure molasses here in lebanon. i found carob molasses and other molasses, but not pure molasses.

is there any substitute for molasses? or these molasses i found in lebanon does it works?

please advice me, i am in my last 3 weeks of flowering

    thank u

  2. Just make sure its UNSULFERED. Read the lable for cal/mg levels and get the strength you need.

  3. I haven't seen the distinction of "pure" molasses. Are you referring to what it is made from (carob vs. sugar cane, for example)? What are the other types of molasses you can find?

  4. Can you find blackstrap molasses?

My understanding is that this is what you want. I'm currently using it now.

  5. Pretty much I think it is how it is processed. I read about a while back and cant remember all the details but some are purer than others and have different levels of cal and mg. I think

  6. I was curious about my molasses as well, couldn't find blackstrap so I settled for all natural unsulphered grandmas... Heard some people did benefit from it..There's a picture in my newest grow journal in my sig for reference.

  7. SO how do you apply molasses?

  8. 1TBL/gal. You can use it through harvest.

  9. And mollases does what?

  10. Mollases is a good source to introduce cal/mg. Some people say it sweetens the bud...I dont know. But it is natural and wont hurt your plant.

  11. Little off topic but whats up with Epsom? Is it the same as molasses or does it have different properties? Can you combine the two as a natural supplement towards the end?

  12. I've never used it myself but from my understanding through sum reading I've done it feeds the beneficial bacteria that help your plant, Also sumthing bout ur plant absorbs the sugar er sumthin down those lines.. If I find the article I read I'll post it.. I plan on using it tho, little extra sticky icky for my sticky budlings sounds like a win win :D

Epsom salt helps with magnesium deficiency.

    Ed Rosenthal's Marijuana Grow Tips

To tie it into this thread. Blackstrap molasses is also an excellent source of magnesium, as well as manganese, copper, iron, and potassium. It's also a carbohydrate source to feed and stimulate beneficial microorganisms.

  14. What's the deal with the cal mag %s? Mine is... cal 4% mag 2%, does this effect dosage ,as other molasseses have diff levels? Does non-blackstrap molasses contain manganese copper iron pot?

  15. The way its processed gives you more or less %% in cal and mg. And yes if its lower you can use more.

  16. Blackstrap molasses can be bought at any health food store.

You can also get it at most all supermarkets....in the baking section, just make sure it's unsulphured. Sulphur is added as a preservative, when molasses is made with mature sugar beets sulphur isn't needed. I use Grandma's brand.
You can read about it here:

  18. Does anybody know if this makes a difference with the actual weight though?

Blackstrap refers to a process it was made from. Blackstrap is the third process and the highest quality of molasses.
In horticulture it is used as a immediate supply of energy(carbohydrate)for the plant and in an organic soil, feeds and encourages beneficial microbes.

  20. this, or bulk food store
