Can some one help me with this whole molasses thing? I have read great things about it, but I don't know when I should start using it or how often at what dosage.. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!! DH
molasses is basically sugar (carbohydrates) your plant will like it during its fruit/flower phase. If you use too much people say, you will smell and taste molasses in your flowers. i'd recommend mabye 1/4 cup per five gallon pot (top feed). thats what we tell customers coming in through the door at our hydro store. i wouldn't use molasses myself, ive also heard from a botanicare representative that molasses is to thick and basically to big of a molecule in ur pots for a plant to actually uptake it and use it the the fullest potential. i would recommend carboload or bud candy as my carbs
Go with 1/2 table spoon of any Unsulfured black strap molasses every other feeding. I use 1 table spoon every watering during flower and have killer bud growth with that schedule. Feed until harvest or eliminate for flush, your call. Bud Candy makes every strain taste very similar like a fake cotton candy berry flavor. The molasses seems to enhance as opposed to alter the natural flavors of each variety. Do Not use it with hydroponics. Good Luck!
ive used sweet and sugar daddy in the past.like said above molasses i think is just too thick..i def like the consistency of the the products like sweet much better..prolly easier for the roots to uptake.but any kind of sugar in the flowering stage should beef up your nugs a bit and give em a good flavor.
