MJ for Chrons?

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by LuckyLeoLLC, Jan 23, 2022.

  1. Hello, I was wondering if anyone on here has had any success with managing chrons with marijuana. What would be the best way to ingest it also how often? I should note that I am a long time daily user of MJ but recently my GI Dr. has took me off of my management medication and wants me to have surgery which I am trying to avoid at all costs because I do feel fine when I eat the right way and smoke every so often. I guess is there a better option than me smoking? I also have many options almost too many since I live in a mj friendly environment.

Although smoking gives faster relief, I think that edibles, non-alcoholic tinctures and capsules/tablets would work better on your intestinal disorders. Smoking anything slows healing because of the CO2 and carbon monoxide build-up in the blood.

Also, you need to take a look at your cooking oils. They may be sabotaging your recovery. Most of our cooking oils are high in Omega 6 and lack Omega 3. You need to cut back on the pro-inflammatory Omega 6, and take some anti-inflammatory Omega 3 supplements.

While somewhere between 1 to 4 parts Omega 6 to every 1 part Omega 3 is said to be the "ideal ratio" (depending on which scientist you consult), the average person eating a "Western diet" has around a 16 to 1 ratio. A few poor, malnourished souls have been recorded as have 50 to 1 bodily ratios!

“Excessive amounts of omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and a very high omega-6/omega-3 ratio, as is found in today's Western diets, promote the pathogenesis of many diseases, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, and inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, whereas increased levels of omega-3 PUFA (a low omega-6/omega-3 ratio) exert suppressive effects.” From “The importance of the ratio of omega-6/omega-3 essential fatty acids”. Hope that helps!

  4. Whole plant capsules are popular with my crowd too. Both the decarboxylated version and the straight flower versions. A combination of both can really cover all of the cannabinoid bases extremely well.

  5. hiya JMcGD,How do you make the strait flower? do you add anything to it?

  6. Nope, just whole buds ground finely so they go into capsules easier.
The new studies show that it’s the CBDA, CBGA, and probably THCA that help prevent the protein spike from taking hold of Covid patients. Those whole plant non decarbed caps are just the ticket!
Side note, I just finished my bout with Covid, as did my wife. We having been preaching this to anyone who would listen since first paper came out in summer of 2020 and did not get vaxxed. We take a LOT of different types of cannibis products and smoke regularly. ( trying to curb that too)
We both had what I would classify as bad cold symptoms for a week and I had one night of a good fever. Past that, not really anything to get worried about.
So Yaaaay for the thriving endocannabinoid system doing its job quite effectively. :yay:
