Mites? Please take a look...

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by 707outdoor, Jul 3, 2017.

  1. Hey, I'm new to these forums and to cultivating (outdoors in NorCal). I've been scouring the internet trying to figure out what is wrong with these leaves. See pics here:

I was thinking spider mites maybe? Thrips? Something else? I put out some predatory mites but not sure if I made the right diagnosis.

    Thanks!

  2. I will add that this seems to be occurring mainly on the plants around the perimeter of the grow area. Not a major infestation or whatever at this point. I have not used any insecticide. Just been spraying the plants with water, giving them some earth juice in their water and mixing some chicken manure into the soil.

If I don't get back with you right away you can try growweedeasy.com and you can make your own diagnosis they have photos on there it's really easy to navigate[emoji106] [emoji111]

  5. There is a link to 4 Imgur pics in my original post. It may take awhile to load on your phone depending on your network, assuming you didn't see those pics yet... thanks

  6. Doesn't look like mite damage imo.

  7. Any ideas? The white stuff doesn't rub off so it's definitely damage to the leaf not something on top of it. And there are some bits of webbing here and there which made me think spider mites. But could also be from bigger spiders.

I did go to your original post.
You have 4 post. No pics though.
What if you got little yellow PEX and white PEX on your leaves on the top side turn it over take a look at your Jeweler's loupe and see if you can see any little creepy crawlies crawling around in there and if you do get on growweedeasy.com and pick out one of those ways to get rid of them that works best for you and you're growing Style[emoji106]

  10. Maybe thrips? You should be spraying as a preventative measure with something like spinosad, neem oil, azamax , etc every other week, when you notice things like this. I'd still check the undersides of leaves for anything crawling around. If you look "REALLYY" close you should be able to spot the adult mites. Have you sprayed anything like nutes on the leaves? Good luck.

  11. Just water with earth juice at 1-2 TBS per gallon. I bought the predator mites to hopefully avoid spraying insecticide but this seems inevitable.

  12. Yep. That's exactly what I use. "Preventative measures" is the "key" to growing outdoors.
