Mite remidies?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Chronic91, Sep 13, 2011.

  1. Yo Gc, anyone know any treatments for spider mites? I have tried a few with not much success.
Or is it impossible to control and kill the mites?
    Safe. :smoke:

  2. first you want to let off a pyrethrum fogger, than the next day not only spray, but drench the entire plant(s) with a neem oil foilar spray. any neem will do, but i prefer using a stronger, odorless neem oil product called azamax. repeat this every 3-4 days, untill infestation is gone. than you just need to spray neem once a week as a preventative. but both neem and pyrethrum are organic. you can use a chemical pesticide called avid, which is widley used among growers. i prefer not to use avid myself, though, as it is only approved for ornamental plants. also make sure you keep your RH low.

    hope this helps!

  3. Just a FYI, make sure your temperatures are not to high and that you apply the neem oil in the morning, or when there will be at least 6+ hours of light, rather right before bed-time. Spraying neem oil on mary before bed time will allow mold to grow on her easier. And one last tip, when mixing your neem solution with water, add a little dish soap. This will help the oil stick to the plant rather than just run-off.

    Hope this helped!

  4. Thanks guys!:) were could I get neem oil from? And is it expensive?

  5. No problem Chron. You can get it from either lowes or your local hydroponic store. Should run you anywhere from 15 bucks up. Keep us posted:p

Your plant is far too small to determine the sex yet. The pre-flowers will not show until the phyllotaxy (arrangement of the leaves on the stem) changes from opposite to alternating.

Every day someone posts these "what is my plant" questions. There is more than one thread clearly showing how to determine the sex of the plants with accurate illustrated pictures. New growers should take advantage of this resource and learn about growing so dependence on others is minimized and thread jacking occurs less often.
