hi guys im on day 23 of flower now...........so i will try and get some pics up later.......all comments questions or even debates are wellcome here.......be lucky mistergreen
have never seen an air pump in a dirt grow... given the high humidity you have to cope with it aint a bad idea who came up with that?
hi mate great to have you on board hi mate the air domes were my hydo shop guys idea......the idea is this..........the more oxygen the root system has the more feed i can get into them.........they are drying out in 1/2 days so im feeding like 4 times a week with each watering .......i will get the latest pics up sunday nite.......im to busy working till then......thanks for posting........be lucky mistergreen
hi guys sorry im a little late with my update.....im 26 days in flower (i took the pics last nite ).....i think these are starting to fatten a little now and i still have another 6 weeks so shud be interesting.........pics ok thats all for now as always comment opinions good or bad are all wellcomed here..........be lucky mistergreen
these are looking lovely. I am very jealous of your vegging pics. I have to veg for almost 2 months to get them that size. removing the air dome seems to take a good bit of root with it
hi holynazi......in the pic where you can see the removed dome in veg...........it has not taken any roots with it.........wots happening is as a root gets to the dome.....it is air pruned ie.....normally when a root reaches the bottom of a pot you will quite often see it poking through a drainage hole.........however this root stops right there it doesn t carry on growing out of the drainage hole right ?.........because when its exposed to air it stops growing ( it gets dehydrated ) and sends a message back to the plant to produce another root.........hope this helps to clear things up...........2 months veg ? wot lights do you use ?.........got any pics ?........thanks for swinging by........be lucky weedtastic
hi guys not much traffic round here .......but ill update all the same ......im on dat 34 of 70.....heres the pics
i have been thinking about introducing air to soil grows as well. With the same thought...roots need air in hydro...why not soil too? im glad someone is trying it. I probably am going to be trying it here on my next grow.
hi Imalittleteapot yes i think its a good idea...however next run im only going to use the air domes in veg.......they are still producing roots now and im 39 days in flower.......i think the energy they are using to produce new roots wud be better off used producing buds....hense why im gonna switch them off as i flower em.......thanks for dropping by.............be lucky mistergreen
ahhh air pruned ftw. its almost like a smart pot. i have been vegging with CFLs. I keep the lights very close to keep my plants short and compact, but they seem soooo sloooow
hi flowersermon i have 2 x 600 watt flower bulbs....thanks for the complement hey holynazi...never heard of the smart pots......althou im thinking of only vegging with the air domes next run....and ill switch them off as i flower........do you have any pics of your grow ?....thanks for dropping in hey doin yoda thanks for subbing......and a big thanks for blowing my pic up.....great to have you onboard........mistergreen
