Mist or not to Mist?

  1. Should I mist through the flowering cycle? I have been, it doesn't appear to be hurting but I am not sure if it is doing anything either.

I want to say these flowers look bigger and nicer but that is probably just in my head.

Do you mist? All of the time? Do you mix anything in the water? Does Ph matter when misting?

  2. I mist mine every morning right before I turn the lights on. I just wouldn't soak them throughout the day as it may encourage mold growth.

  3. cool thanks, I'll continue

  4. I always Ph my water when I do foliar too. There is also new 'stabilizers' on the market that claim you can do foliar feeding with the lights on, such as dutch master liquid light. I'm personally not gonna risk it though, ill do it at night. I usually have natural mite and powder prevention in the water when I spray, but am researching more about foliar nutrient feeding.

One question, do you to the top, the bottom or both? I usually try to do both, as I heard that most moisture is absorbed through the underside of the leaf. of voided the power is on top, lol. But for just feeding are you doing the underside?

  5. I have been using ph corrected water with a touch of fox farms big bloom. 1ml/gal.

I was just doing it every once in a while, but since I started i've been doing it on a regular basis. I'll see how it looks.

  6. Nutrients/Water get absorbed through the stomata which is located on the underside of the leaves not the top you will only leave annoying residue on the leafs

  7. I mist from the top and bottom. :)

  8. I had a novel idea today about a shortcut version... I have a spare humidifier sitting here, and if I added a bit of nutes to the water, shut everything else off and let it steam the room up a bit... bad idea?

    Probably. Probably really bad.
