    hmm...

    i have a different theory that coincides with yours

    our ancestors weren't given the option of being lazy, if they slacked off it meant they would not eat the coming winter. thus a few smart people figured out how to do it more efficiently. this blew way out of hand over time and the need to be energetic and smart no longer exists for the average human. if something is needed it now takes no forethought or planning, you just get into your transport machine and mosey on over to where ever it is that everything is lined up for you. or just pick up the long-distance talker and have it brought to you. so in conclusion, it is easier than being smart and energetic.
