    So I stumpledupon this last night and pee'd my pants soon after.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuopJYLBvrI"]YouTube- Cordyceps Fungus - The mind-control Killer-Fungi[/ame]

    Apparently humans are in line to receive this species of fungi. Now, we all know humans love using scare tactics on other humans, but is this not scary shit?! Gives me the heebie jeebies.

  2. um why the fuck would somone want some of that?

  3. ?
    I don't get it. Who said they wanted any of that? o_o

  4. i think he's referring to you saying that people are lined up for this

    but what i think you meant was that we are in line as the next species to have a corceceps fungi infiltrating our system

  5. Oh. Yes, that's exactly what I meant. :] We aren't the very next ones, apparently, but we're still in line for it!

    I just can't believe there's a different type of fungi for each bug it infects. It's so specific, I guess it really could grow complex enough one day to manipulate the human brain.

  6. we'd see it hitting rodents then larger animals first

    then eventually monkeys
    when that happens, ill start getting scared

    what would happen if i ate one of them, are they poisonous to humans?

  7. The video never said that tho. OP just inferred it?

  8. Or we might not see it hit them, we might not notice it at all. Then it'll be on our front door steps before we knew it... :eek:

    And apparently when they're finished growing they release a bunch of spores. So I guess it would depend on if they had released the spores yet... Idk, just stick with the regular mushrooms. ;]

    -Edit-
    Yeah, it was in the comments on the video, haha.
