Millions of dead fish washed up in harbor

  1. get a net before they rot

  2. Shit... Compost for some forests?

  3. hey i always hangout around torrance/redondo beach area...gonna have to check it out soon.

    crazy stuff man

  4. Better hurry because they'll be all cleaned up in a few days. I think they got most of the ones off the surface and they're waiting for the ones that sunk to the bottom to start rotting so the gasses released will make them rise to the surface.

  5. Red tide sucks, I hear about it pretty much every year down here in the Gulf

Just stay away from the beach for a couple weeks lol

  6. Thats my spot right there too, by joes crab shack. Crazy, fish and birds conitue to die everywhere still.

  7. If you don't remove the fish, even more fish will die because the area will become more anoxic from bacteria, protozoans and other decomposers that feast on their flesh. They will use up the oxygen available in the water to fuel their own cellular respiration, and in doing so, will create more 'dead zones'.

Is anyone doing anything about it?

  8. Hear earlier today that they were netting them for fertilizer or animal feed, forget which.

  9. Both I think - Pretty sure this is one of the signs of the apocalypse isn't it?

    Frackking weird.

  10. You're joking, right?

  11. What, me joke? NEVER. I'm mister serious aren't I?

They said it was NOT a red tide that killed them...it 'might have been' wind gust that drove the fish into the harbor...wind that has an effect on fish underwater...uh huh...smells fishy to me.

I just have to wonder how all these massive deaths took place recently...but its normal?

Feds and other gov types claim it is just now, with the internet, we hear of this 'common' event...excuse me...15 years and more of internet, and NOW people post about this 'common' event in the animal kingdom...I say BULLSHIT.

  13. Ya I heard about that after I originally posted. I knew it was low oxygen levels in the water and I just assumed it was red tide because that's what happens when it comes in every year.

I bet it smelled sooo fishy down there.
