Milk Journal (mmmm)

  1. Been on the site for some time, mostly a browser with occasional comments. I've been messing around with milk videos lately, and finally made the jump to the modern age making a YouTube account. The most recent videos are the best quality, as I found the focus is horrendous if there is any movement in the camera, so I have it propped now and am getting much better results!

A few of the Zob "Stemline", if I'm aloud to use the term (the seller also used).

My 24" 7mm ADS with a no-name inline. I've always loved straight shooters, and this has been my favorite for some time. I used to use a six-arm downstem, but due to a crash it is no longer with me. It's break, however, saved the inline and the tube, so I'll live.

And one with a reducer and locally blown slide.

The triple-disc blown by one of our more popular local blowers (for the most conservative state on the nation, North Texas has quite a glass blowing and home growing industry. It's 12" 5mm glass, 14mm ice pinch slide is from the same blower.

And that's pretty much it for now. I hope to keep updating as I am getting a bit better at this. Nothing to write home about in my collection, but function over fashion has been a foundation for my glass collection, and I never buy what I can't (emotionally) afford to lose.

I'm gonna go pull one off, eat a bag of Skittles and catch some sleep, hope you enjoy my thread!

  2. You've got some nice pieces man. On that triple disk, you should put water just over the 2nd disk. It doesn't seem to be functioning all the way.

Also, can you do a bubble shot of the triple disk after. I'd love to see how much it stacks.:bongin:

  3. Ye I want to see that triple disc diffused bong fully functioning. The disc diffusers are my favourite perc and I LOVE straight tubes as much as you do. I really dig what you've got going on and I prefer function over form as well. You and I pretty much stand for the same shit when it comes to glass haha. Please experiment with the water levels on the trip disc! I'm sure you'll be able to find an optimal amount easily.

  4. Why is it that disk percs never really work the way they should. I mean in theory it should be amazing but in practice they really don't look like they diffuse that much. His zob stemline looked way better and it was probably cheaper

  5. Because his water level is wayyyy too low in the video. It should be in-between the 2nd and 3rd disk if not just above the 3rd to get massive stacking.

I know but watch the video the bubbles only go up the one hole they don't disperse over the entire disk. Is that because of the low water level?

  7. yes it is:smoke: There were more water, there would be more air resistance and the smoke/air would go through all holes on the bottom disk. Once disks start bubbling, they bubble more through the other disks on top of it.

Ahh Erright I don't have any experience with them thank you

  9. Yea my buddy has a single disc diffused bong and it perculates quite well I must say!

  10. Thanks for the views and comments guys. I believe one video with the triple disk has the water level as high as it can be, between 1and 2, due to it's height and lack of splash guard. I will get a newer milk tonight with our current water levels. And the triple disk only ran me a little over a bill, so it was a little cheaper than the Zob.

Will get back to this tonight with more milks!

  11. Had been talking to my buddy (personal Zob hookup) about one of the stemlines he could get me, and so after a bit of talking, we ordered it. Man, I couldn't be happier. It's apparently being called a Snorkle bubbler, I guess due to the bent neck...? Eh, who knows, it hits pretty damn smooth. It's about 12", massive base, stemline with 5 slits on each side reinforced to the back of the can, and an 18.8mm fixed stem.

I used a little too much water in these videos, so I hope to get some new ones up this weekend.

  14. I know nobody gives a flying shit about this thread, but it's nice to have somewhere for me to keep all of my stuff organized haha. Just took a quick video of my first hit of the day, and first day "post-flu", though my lungs still were not prepared!
