hey guys, I'be just beginn marine core recruitment, I will a have a meeting again with them within the next couple days well I took a hit yesterday day of bud and a few hits 4 days ago and smoked a joint today. I don't know if they will drug test me sence I haven't been to meps but I want to be safe. Will they watch me pee if I'm just at the recruiting office. Also I think they will test me because they know I have a old possession of marijuana charge from a few years ago. How long should I wait if I can try to put this off, I weigh 150 I'm 5'9" and I workout very often.
OK yes they will test you but be honest about your use first cause they use the expensive home kits, your recruiter will postpone meps until you can pass a UA though so don't stress and stay sober. Also dont masturbate the night before, something about the proteins causing a false positive
They will more than likely do what they call an in-office piss test for you when you go back to the marines office. Depending on the recruiters.. if you piss hot they will work with you because it is in their best interest to get you into the military. Unfortunately the marines are a smaller branch so im not sure how much that particular branch is willing to work with its recruits. They might tell you to piss off (no pun intended) For army they were willing to keep doing re-tests until the expected recruit was pissing clean and then send to MEPS under the plan that if you fucc up and piss hot there they (the recs) will fucc you up. TBH, just be straight forward with the recruiters and they will work with you.. like I said it is in their interest to get you in, they WILL work with you, but you have to work with them and be honest. Stop smoking weed if you are trying to join the military bro, it wont work out for you either in the short run, or the long run. If you cant handle not smoking then I doubt you will be dedicated enough to complete workouts and training in military.
I'm gonna just try to pass, I don't think they'll give me a seconed chance due to my prior charge. Do they watch you urinate at the recruiting office? Obviously I know they do at meps
Or do you guys think I can schedule the test for like 5 days from now or something and just work out till then and then try to dilute? Other than the above smoking I haven't smoked in like a year
working out for 5 days is only going to cause the metabolized THC to be more concentrated in your piss, so you are gonna fail either way. IDK what else to say, you either be honest with them or you aren't joining the marines right now.
If you mess with the test now you may fail the one that counts. These early tests are freebies, they want you to get in and to insure that you will piss clean at MEPS. If you don't have the common sense to do it right, you may as well not even attempt this.
I'll also add that nothing you do short of assaulting a recruiter at the offices is going to bar your entrance to the military. Like I said the tests they administer there are for THEIR own protection as a recruiter and will not be documented in any way. If you fail a piss test or tell them you will fail and they say "ok, well leave then" then you leave and wait til your clean and find another marines recruiter. You have options so dont play this out as if you dont. Just so you are aware.

Yes. I'd be surprised if you came back after your next meeting with them and told us you were not piss tested or atleast asked to take a test.
Yeah the topic of a drug test hasn't even come up once I thought I would just look into this because better dare then sorry.
Most of the responses in this thread have pointed you in the right direction. Be truthful with them an tell em, cause they will ask you. But because you smoked so close. You may, I hesitant on may (cause I needed a waiver) for smoking MJ with the Marines. Better to let em know in advanced then, not tell them an have it pop up yah know? I served in the Marines and the recruiter is the one guy you have to be honest with. He won't let you leave if he thinks you'll fail because it reflects poorly on him. You leave and piss positive, you're up shit creek. Do not dick around while in. They will randomly test you with zero warning while staring at your dick. While I was stationed in MD, we had a guy with just the faintest smell of weed on him on a Saturday. They immediately pissed tested the entire battalion. It did not end well for him. In boot camp, a guy failed the meps piss test and they let him get 6 weeks into boot before kicking him out without warning. Also, whatever you do, don't raise your hand at 'the moment of truth' when you first get to boot camp. They will try to trick you by saying things like "even if it was 6 months ago, you'll pop on our test". it's a lie to get fools to admit it. You will also get credit for Early Enlistment when it counts towards over Time In Service pay. For example you sign up delayed enlistment in Apr and enter active duty in Dec. When Apr rolls around you get the over 1 year in service pay raise.
