  1. Grasscity blades..... It has been a while. Well it's been like 2 weeks since i've logged on... new record. I tried to give grasscity a break and look what happened! well guys long story short I got caught a while ago so i havent smoked since june. I'm drunk right now and I want to talk about the fucking amazing album that is Kind Of Blue by the coolest of the cool, Miles Davis. I've got this spinning on vinyl as I type.

Seriously blades this album is one of a kind. It is brilliant and beautiful and I wish I could be blazed listening to it right now. If you haven't heard it, please give it a listen. If you never really explored jazz before, this is the album to start with. If you love jazz and it's your favorite, listen to this album.

By nature i am a cold hard classic rock fan. I know it like the back of my hand. But I also love jazz and this album is in my top 10 favorite of all time. Very soothingggggg

  3. I really like Miles Davis. Bitches Brew is undoubtedly a good album. Kind of Blue is really good. One of my favorites.

  4. Lol my grampa's favorite album, pretty good stuff.

  5. This man knows what's up.

Bitches Brew is probably my favorite album of all time. I've always preferred his experimental works over the "Cool Jazz", but it's all golden!

  6. Never been a big jazz fan but have listened to Kind of Blue 4-5 and always found it kind of meh. Nice in the background but essentially just not for me.

  7. I'm listening to Sketches of Spain right now, my favorite Miles Davis album. Amazing artist indeed.

Kind Of Blue is a great, classic jazz album, Flamenco Sketches probably being my favorite track on it.

How about A Tribute To Jack Johnson, or Pangaea, for some of his experimental side. If you know Peter Green's The End Of The Game, Bottoms Up sounds a lot like Gondwana.

  10. hell yes I love peter green, end of the game is incredible. one of the top blues guitarists to ever live. coltrane is amazing too, A Love Supreme is phenomenal.
As far as bitches brew, well i'm not going to comment on that one. It's alright, definitely 'out there'. I do love his album In a Silent Way, it's so damn peaceful ;)

  11. I spin Kind of Blue in the morning. It goes well with black coffee and the sunrise. Bitches Brew is absolute genius, but I have to be in a mood to approach it the right way.

  16. one of the best pieces of music ever created.

  17. Kind of Blue on vinyl, you say? Some serious points for you there!:hello:

Kind of Blue is the album that got me into jazz, it's pretty fair to say if you don't like it, you probably won't like any jazz. It's such a perfect album and great at those times of the night when you can just kick back and chill.

  18. I love listening to jazz, especially on vinyl. It is the best music to listen to high.
