Migraines CAUSED from cannabis?

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by Kyle09, Dec 3, 2015.

  1. Hello Grasscity, I have been smoking cannabis and other THC products for 6 years now, most of which has been an everyday occurrence. I am 22 now, and for the past 2 years I have gone through a series of Migraines that are unlike my typical migraines. The migraine period lasts about 4-7 days typically, and during this time I feel completely out of it and in an insane amount of pain. Now when I was younger, I found Cannabis to beneficial for my migraines, while most other meds did nothing or made it worse. Well now I have hit a really big issue in my life, because now it seems as if cannabis is causing my migraines to intensify and almost seems like THC or a different cannabinoid is CAUSING the migraines. My eyes also get fairly sore. This headache peroid , that seems to be triggered when I smoke cannabis, has happened to me several times in the past couple years, and during these periods it is EXTREMELY painful for me to smoke weed, or ingest thc in any for(even edibles). When I smoke or vaporize, I instantly get much more high then I would normally, and then the pain creeps on slowly, by about 30-minutes to an hour I will have reached the maximum pain for the headache until it runs its course. These are unlike my typical migraines that I have experienced in the past but now these are the only type I experience really. It might be good to note that I also get this weird sensation that blood is flowing to my head at a high velocity right after I smoke during these peroids. Now I smoke year round, and with exception to these peroids I NEVER have issues(I smoke a lot). It's a bit concering and everytime it happens I consider hanging up the cannabis for good, luckily I always snap out of it. Also It's not the specific weed or anything because I have tried dozens of strains waxes and edibles during these peroids all with the same result. I havce had many MRI's/cat scans in the past, no abnormalities. If someone could give me some advice with my situation I would be so greatful.

  2. you joined in 07 Dec 2012 and have made three post including this one.

2 negative post out of three..hmm...

Let's first take care of the issue using nice PC 'carebear' terms: cut the bullshit and go talk to a REAL LIVE DOCTOR NOW!!!..outdated and old mri's and catscan's mean jack shit when you are talking tumors and cancers that can double in size within a few weeks.

now for the another version: telling reefer madness reeking stories in a marijuana forum is not a good way to find out why you have chronic migraine problems that are getting WORSE...but a doctor is more than able to solve your problem, or at least make your inevitable passing a bit more comfortable.

  3. Dude I already see a team of neurologists, I definitely don't have a tumor. My doctors have never had an answer for me.... I'm just trying to see if there is anyone else with the same problem. Thanks for bashing on me though.... And you are a real character to think that I would be using this post to advocate anti-marijuana....you are so full of yourself to make this comment.

  4. ..seeing a team of expensive specialist doctors?
..as in now, within the last week, with current up to date week old scans?
..or you saw a doctor a few years ago and the scans from 10 years ago were ok?

..full of myself???? me thinks you are making attacks to discredit an opinion that shouldn't bother you...as in 'you doth protest to much sir'...

now, as I said before, being all concerned for your health and all that jazz, go see a doctor, no excuses, just do it...a real doctor would tell you what is wrong.

  5. Are you afraid to share with your doctors that you use weed? Or are you afraid they're going to tell you to stop? Maybe you should cut down, I'd seriously think about it if I were having similar problems. Maybe it's just not meant for you.

  6. Yeah I have put the pot smoking on hold for now, until things seem better. I have told my doctors about my weed use, I live in an illegal state, and as a result they don't really provide many answers for it other than "don't do illegal drugs". Because of this consistent short response, I don't bring it up anymore... Thank you for your advice! much appreciated

  7. I just saw my neurologist 5 days ago, and I have kept in contact via phone calls. My last scan was less than a month ago. And yes you are full of your self to think that I would really make this post to discredit marijuana in any way... no further opinion is necessary from you Cball thank you.

  8. Sucka you trippin

  9. Are you smoking with butane lighters or dirty pieces? Try smoking with some hempwick to reduce inhaling butane.

  10. I couldn't read the entire wall of text.....

My wife smokes for migraines and some strains make it worse (generally sativas) if you can't get specific strains then Stop smoking.

    Weed is not for everybody.
