Midwest Monster Cropped stealth grow - Let’s chat!!

Starting my growing season off here in midwest. Kinda bored and thought maybe somebody would like to follow along and see what I like to do. Open for advise or questions or just conversation.

This year I have an outdoor stealth grow in progress, indoor basement grow, raising babies operation and hopefully soon a new grow tent grow or two. I have multiple locations and setups for these grows. My intentions are to continuously harvest as much medical and recreational mjane as possible all year long. I have medical users in my family and I myself am a recreational stoner most of the time. Even if I am not smoking I have a yearn and desire for horticulture, a very green thumb with a farming background.

I am in the early stages of the outdoor season. For my indoor grows I will be using all Namebrand LED lights for them. I am an extremist and more is usually always better. So instead of most doing led like most growers, I want to really put down the par and feed these babies some wattage!!

I have most of my lights purchased already and lemme tell you they are bright. I have been growing for 20+ years and these lights are fairly new to me. At first I didn’t believe they had the power to really grow dense nuggets I crave. Guess I will soon find out. I did a lot of research and searching for the right lights. What I have learned?
1. Don’t believe anything manufacturers say about specifications
2. Buy the best quality light u can afford
3. Buy as many high power lights you can afford
4. Put the lights as close as possible to plants without harming them
5.always overpower never under power your light source

I don’t know what people recommend for true led watts per plant, my thinking is i will use almost 30 watts for cloning, 100 watts per plant for roofing and probably 250 watts for veg and flowering. If you know anything you know that’s a lot of led power!!

I like Mars Hydro lights so that’s what I went for. So far I purchased;
3 - upgraded yet old design Marshydro 600watt lights
1 - Marshydro 1600ii light
2 - galaxy hydro 300 watt lights
4 - Apollo Horticulture 300 watt lights

Yet to purchase;
Another Marshydro 1600ii light and possibly the 720 watt green light with 3 boards side by side.

I do have 1 grow still using 2000 watts of ups/mh lighting. Gonna switch that over to led eventually.

So back to my new lights, that’s a claimed 5,200 watts of LED goodness!! Reality, more like half that if I’m lucky, I can add up actual wattages but they run about half of claimed.

For my soil I make my own version of Supersoil for all my grows indoor and outdoor. I will be using White widow clones for most everything because that’s all I have access to atm. Future strains will be some blueberry, bubblegum and agent orange

Did I mention there will be random Monsters in my gardens? Meaning monstercropped plants. I have a mixture going at the moment. There is a right size plant for every location. Lemme tell you these monsters are crazy, outgrowing all my other plants by far.

For my supply of new plants I will be taking clones from my favorite specimens as well as some seeds. I will venture into both Autoflowering seeds and regular fem seeds. I only wish you could clone the auto plant

 

For the clones I always make my own clone machines. It’s fun. For seeds I will be using root riot cubes somehow incorporated into my clone machines. I want to be able to use the same setup regardless of seed or clone, so I always want my clone bucket in use at all times. I thought it would be cool to accommodate seeds and clones all in one machine.

I took 1 set of cuttings off host plants on 4/27. I will post there current progress when it’s daylight. Half of those turned into monstercropped plants. I took another set of cuts a couple weeks later and those are still in cloning /rooting stage.
My current 5 spot clone machine is comprised of 3 gallon reservoir, old style green aero jets, a viaqua pump, large air stone, air pump, 3” modified net pots, and aquatic heater when required. So far works good.

My first monster clones were taken maybe a week into flower and the latest maybe 3 weeks into flower. They are taking forever to root!!

 

Here are a few ladies getting ready to go outside into their new homes. 2 monsters and 1 normal plant. So far I have 5 plants in the ground outside and these 3 will go as well. I dug approximately 7 gallon holes and filled with my homemade Supersoil about a week in advance to planting. This helps the soil get packed in and bio microlife a headstart. I will strategically put monsters in a certain area requiring shorter bushier plants and the regular plants where I need a taller thinner plant. I usually top all my plants and LST all as well. I have to hide everything very well as I live in a populated residential community. I am growing right under peoples noses without them even noticing.

 

So I have this rooting/cloning area I am trying using a mobile clothes rack. It’s awesome!! Fully adjustable height and width when I need it. I could even run another stage at the other end with another light if needed. Note the 300 watts on cloner and 600 on baby plants. I always try to keep my cloner cool in the rootzone and warm in the leaf zone. When roots develop i reverse this. Using a heating mat I warm the rootzone and cool the leafzone. I don’t use any fertilizer in dirt or cloner water. My Supersoil is organic and loaded with everything they need. Early to Mid season I will start a regimen of both topical fertilizer as well as my favorite liquid fertilizer of choice. I also like to use fish emulsion on most every plant I grow.

Here is what I am looking at about 12 days in and another week after that then again a week or two later.... showing acceptable root development.

 

So far we have the basement grow, 8 weeks into flower by the way, and the outdoor grow. Now for the 2 indoor grow tent grows. One of which will be a self contained Perpetual grow. I intend to harvest 4 plants every 4 weeks all year long from 1 grow tent with 3 individual chambers. My mind races with all the different possibilities of tent setup and lights and schedule etc, I am constantly sketching out new layouts and plans each better than the last.

The second grow tent will be my brothers utility room grow with a simple 32” x 32” tent and Marshydro 900ii light. Probably throw a couple autoflowers in there every couple months.

 

Here are some in place. Looks like these are 40 days from cut, with a longer clone process cause I had to recut the clones after a week into cloning.

I haven’t grown in a couple years are they acceptable for 40 days? Some are way faster than others.

 

Turbo veg. Think I will see light saturation? Let’s find out. I like to play around with different scenarios and situations with my grows.

 

That’s 540 true Watts pulled from wall on 2sf. It’s measuring like max sun lux equivalent lol

 

New addition...1 cut 6/10. Amazing how in a couple hours this cut straightened it’s stalk and flipped all it’s leaves. Looking like a vertical plant..amazing.

 

Cloning some of my outdoor plants for my mother. I am impressed by how fast I am getting roots in the clone machine! I got used to the last few batches being monsters and taking FOREVER to root. I am getting massive roots in less than 7 days woot!!
