Week 1 Day 7 of Flower Hello, This is my 1st posting of whats going on around here and I hope you enjoy. I purchased these lights from Amazon and this is my 3rd harvest. These lights work very well. I have purchased 4 of these G3HiPAR-Series and I have ordered more lights from this company. If you have any questions on how they perform let me know as I have photos of previous harvests. I normally grow with 3 of these lights in a 3x3 tent much closer to the plants. 3 lights give much more coverage. That being said, I wanted to reduce my wattage this grow and see what the results were so I decided to go with just 2 of those lights. Having just 2 lights I have to hang them higher to get the coverage I need in this 4x2 tent. Not sure what type of lights you are using but maybe you run your lights much closer to make up for the lack of PAR? I dont need to do that with these light as the PAR readings are at 1200-1500 when lights are less than 12" so at the distance I have them now the PAR readings are pretty good as well. My other tents the lights are much close just not in this tent. Good question/statement, if you have anymore just let me know
in veg they will do very well with that distance. you might notice a yield decrease though in flower . you may want to get another light ? if your worried about being short between harvests . around here there is a lot of smoking helpers . lol can never have to much .
I am not worried about being short between harvests as I do perpetual harvests and have more than just that brewing. I also have other lights as I stated before I usually run 3 lights and I reduced the wattage to see how it affected my harvest this time around. Typically, you want to measure you leaf temperature to figure out how far you want your light, not sure if you have grown with LED's before but you dont want LED close to your plants unless they are the low wattage 3w chips. How close your lights are has no effect on how big your buds are unless you have crappy lights,,,,LOL Put a 1000w 8 inches from your plant top and see what happens...........
