So I'm lOving all this I hear about Michigan getting legalization On the 2012 ballot. However, I'm a hit worried. Is there anything on the bill that would ban drug testing for occupations that dont need it? For example, I know jobs like piloting or truck driving may still need drug testing, but what about everyOne else? It would still suck to have to worry about getting drug tested by a potential employer...
That's a whole nother ball game man. Once it's legalized in the us, that's only half the battle. The next battle is to stop employers that will be discriminating against marijuana use. There's already corporations that don't accept it like Walmart even if you're in a medical marijuana state. Once legalization happens, the Feds will have no control over employers drug testing.
Somewhat true. But what about federal contractors? These employers get money from the government under certain conditions-- one being that they drug test their potential employees...
