So I just went to this presentation by Michael Lang the creator of Woodstock and it was awesome. But anyways they had a question an answer period and someone asked in reference to the California initiative if Michael supported legalization of marijuana. Well he talked about how he opened a headshop in Miami in the mid 60's and he had dreamed that he would be able to have like "Panama Red" and he named a couple other strains from the 60's, as under the counter and be able to openly sell the marijuana, but instead his shop was more like a ya know pipes bongs and posters shops. So then he said he met up with his kids out in Cali and went to a medical marijuana dsipensary and thought it was aweosme that his dream headshop was legit in California. The last thing he said was that he does not think that 500,000 people could gather together and be flat out drunk and be peaceful, but he does believe and this was true in 1969, that 500,000 people can gather together, smoke marijuana and be peaceful for the entirety of the festival. Anyways just thought I'd share my story and of how Michael Lang is the man and is for legalizing cannabis.
