mh's and flowering???? help me understand

    the setup isnt the best but heres a rundown... i have a tent measuring 2 ft deep x 2.5 ft wide x 5.5 ft tall. there is a 175 watt enclosed ballast (sun systems) metal halide in there now. now the light i got from a friend and he gave me the standard mh bulb and also a bulb he said is used in aquariums and shit... it was in a blnk sleeve that had 21k on it.... i dunno if thats the light temp or not. that aquarium bulb is in it now and its BLUE! i have also got 6 23 watt cfls and sockets that i was planning on useing for some supp light. i am running an ak 47 clone and some random bagseeds. i dont plan on running more than 3 0lants in it at once either. my ??? is if i swap out the cfls i have now which are like 5500k or sumthinglike that for the 2700k will it work? any help or opinions would be muchly appreciated! peace out gc! the doc

    first off im not posing as a doctor....its a screen name sherm.... i cud have fun with that but im not on here to try to make myself feel better. second off y are u callin me noobish when u joined the same time and only have 9 more posts.... and my grammer sucks cuz imtypin this on my phone and i dont really care if it would an A in english class

    i never said that man.... my point is that u dont need to go around to everyones threads bein neg.... we r all here to help each other man thats the purpose of this forum so if u aint gonna do that get off. its here to be a resource not an ego booster.

    guess its not really a question of wether it will work or not.... but will the 2700k from the flos be enough to kinda help balance out the red spectrum if i switch the mh bulb back to the originial... its closer to ur avgerage daylight spectrum..but anyways will it help balance it out and not affect my yeild to awfully much... tho i may be lookin into buyin a 400 watt mh hps switchable system

    What sherm was pointing out, which is a very valid point, is that there is plenty of information stickied in the absolute beginer's forum that will more than answer your question about light spectrums and the amount of light you need.

    thanks cali but i dont think anyone is understandin my question... or maybe not even ??? but lookin for advice. i understand what light spectrums work best for what stages and that i need min of 100 watts and 50 for every extra plant.... the more the better. i have read the stickies on almost everything in this growing forum.... and i dont recall seing anywhere a sticky that helps me understand in the 9 months i have been reading these forums. thats y i asked...... is it worth the work and time to rig up some cfls for the flowering.... will it make me end up with like low yeild and airy buds.... wud i be better of with just a fuck ton of cfls.... im lookin for fellow growers experience and advice.... please someone on GC has to be willing to give me advice help a fellow stoner out!
