What one is better for veg 400watt mh or two 4ft florescents? I think it would be easier to use a mh during veg then change to a hps during flower. I've talked to several friends whole like florescents and some who like mh. A little worried about a mh being to hot. Any suggestions? Also would it be okay to mount a carbon filter inside the grow room with a inline fan between the filter and exhaust? The fan would be sucking the air into the filter then pushing the air out the axhaust It would be difficult to mount a filter on the end, stealth grow? Thanx in advance.
Well, it sounds like you basically understand the pros and cons: Fluros- Pros: Cooler, cheaper, easier on noobs, average results depending on watts. Cons: Not as strong. MH- Pros: Strong. Cons: Hot, can be harsh on noobs, can have great results. Just gotta decide which way you want to go with. Definitly have to have the proper ventilation if you want the MH though. Starting with fluros can give you time to adjust your room for proper ventilation and growing before you put in an HID. Good luck.
i say if youve got em, use em. Figure out some sort of vent so that you can use all the lights youve got. The more light the better, faster and fatter the plants will grow!
