im only in the veg state but im thinking ahead for flowering. i dont really want to use just regular 2700k cfls for flowering. i was wondering how good are mh lights or even halogen lights for flowering. i dont have the space or money to use hps like i would like to. so besides using cfls or fluoros what are some other lighs that are good for flowering
If you are currently using a MH now then you should be able to use HPS just as well. MH is not good for flowering. You need the 2700k color spectrum, which you can get from HPS, CFLs, or fluoro tubes -- those are your choices. You can get a HPS conversion bulb that is made to work off a MH ballast if that's what you already have.
