How well will plants already 3 weeks into flowering continue to bud if put under a MH? I had them under an HPS but my bulb went down and i dont have the money for a new HPS bulb. I do have a MH bulb ready to go however. (Yes my ballast is switchable)
the buds wont be as dense but the potency will increase. in other words you will be ok its just not ideal
Sorry to jack your thread but i have another question, Im 3 weeks into flowering, right now I only have a 150HPS light. What would be the effects of adding a MH light of the same wattage? Or would it just be better to pick up another HPS light?
Yeah it'll work. Like sashiva said, they won't be quite as dense, but because MH puts out some UV light, potency will be better. Shtbrck, there's pretty much your answer. You'll increase yield either way, either go for a 5 star yield and 4 star potency, or 4 star yield and 5 star potency. Maybe not exactly that many stars, I don't know your setup, but you get the idea.
buy a couple of shity little 26w clf 2700k there really cheap they will provide the same spectrum as your hps use you mh as well ofcorse cheapest and easyist solution
Yea, alright cool. I did that already with cfls i already have, but the temp in my box climbed to the upper 90's and i don't like that.
