MH bulb question. can i grow with this??

    I found a MH bulb and I'm wondering if I can eventually grow with this.

    Its a 400watt BT17, 4000k bulb.


    Would this work??

    Im guesiing yes,but you need a 400w ballast,plus the socket,for a 400w bulb...it would be best to just buy a 400w hps system,with a dogital ballast.then you have an extra bulb for it,imo..

    Indeed I would need the ballast, but I'm saving for one now. Right now I have a 9800 lumin cfl est up, and its doing ok, but I want to upgrade biger eventually.

    Escpecialy for flowering...
