So i've had the mflb for a few months now and i feel like it takes too many hits to feel something, the batteries can be a hassle, and it's nearly impossible to use in a session, unless everyone knows how to hit it. i'm looking for a stealth portable vape that can provide decently big hits and is better for use in a session (not TOO important). i've been looking into the pax and i'm really interested. i love the design, if anyone even noticed it chances are they'd have no clue what it is. my question is: is the pax worth it? is it that much better than the mflb? how much better are the hits/battery life? i'd probably sell the mflb to buy the pax so i want to make sure this is the right decision. (i also know about the solo, but it's not portable enough for me; i need to be able to do it on-the-go wherever)
If you are looking for a STEALTH big hitter then i guess go with the PAX but i would still recommend the SOLO over the Pax every time. Its not like the Solo is NOT portable. Its just like carrying a cellphone. Put that in one pocket and put the stem in your other and its just as portable. Stealth wise you cant beat the MFLB but the Pax is the closest.
I'd highly recommend going for the Pax. I started vaping on an MFLB and then got the Pax for my portable. The MFLB is fantastic for the price, and is really a great piece of equipment, but I found the Pax to be a humongous upgrade. I'm with you on the Solo. Way too big for me - nowhere near as portable as the Pax. Plus I'm not down with a portable vape that has a glass stem (I never used the stem on the MFLB either). The Pax is EXACTLY what I want in a portable vape, and the 10 year warranty/excellent customer service is priceless. Give it a shot!
I have said it before.... The MFLB is about as terrible at vaping as you can get while still saying it works. It's a cool gizmo, the KISS factor is great and its very easy to conceal. I have to admit I still like my MFLB... Just not so much for vaping, lol. If your used to the MFLB, and you like it and its good... Taking hits off any other decent vape will blow you the fuck away.
I upgraded from the mflb to the pax and love it.Its the perfect portable vape for me.The only thing I don't like is the battery life but I expected it to be pretty short so its not a huge deal.
I just have to disagree with that. The MFLB is amazing for stealth IF you know how to fully control the heat. If you don't, its gonna suck ass. I like my PAX and all, but when I'm in my place and don't want to stink out the neighbors its the MFLB every time.
+1 Love the Pax, and it fits my needs better than any other portable, but the MFLB is a great piece for the price. It's all about your technique, which is why (I think) a lot of people have had bad experiences with it. And it does emit the least odor of any vape I've ever experienced.
how long would you say the battery lasts? better than the mflb batteries? i also love the zero odor from the mflb, does the PAX smell that much?
Battery lasts for about an hour of straight usage. It actually lasts that long - that's not just a tech spec. A session for me is 15-20 mins, and compared to others that's really long. From what I've read, most people take 8-12 mins per session. But ya, I've done 4 sessions on one charge many times and the battery has never died on me. Well, I don't consider the MFLB to be "zero odor". My roommate uses the MFLB as his only piece and I can tell when he's smoked with his friends if I walk in within, say, 45 minutes. But that's with no attempt to hide the smell, and that's with me knowing the smell of his MFLB. The Pax is very good with odor protection, but not quite as good as the MFLB. However, with both of these, if you either have a fan on, have a window open, burn incense, or use an air freshener I'd say you're good within 10 mins of finishing. But every situation/nose is different.
That honestly 100% agrees with my post. Its very stealth.... But why do you think it makes so little smell? Cause it vapes so much less at once then another other vape. Think about it, why would the MFLB smell any less if its vaporizing the same amount of herb? There is almost no "smoke" and almost no smell because (compaired to decent vapes) there is almost no hit. You still get a hit, it still works... but purely speaking about a device to produce vapor, it clearly does not work as well as the pax, hence the reason you don't smell much.
I find that the pax does smell a bit more. The MFLB is really only a stealth device if you use it as one. Think of it as a car with a manual transmission. Sure there are cars that are easier to drive, but you're never going to find someone looking for performance in a sports car, driving an automatic. On the other hand, if you can't drive for shit, you're gonna crash the car once you're distracted with the whole changing gears thing.

Give it a shot!
My arizer solo vs my brothers PAX *the solo - clean it 10x less - way less can go wrong with it - ONLY vapes your herb when your inhaling unlike the PAX which constantly vapes your bud. - I love the heating element over a convection like mflb and PAX - flavor from an all glass airway is so much better 3x - more heat choices on my solo than the more expensive PAX. - vapor bongin with the solo beats PAX in this field. - solo is almost HALF the price - solo has been out longer and has more positive history of users than the newer to market PAX - solo is more recommended on FC And GC Forums by vapor users more than the PAX is. - I vape hash oil out of my solo easily without needing to clean it or anything. My friends PAX gets filthy with hash oil and keif loads. I liked my friends PAX but it was 1. Not better than my solo in any way besides looks and size. 2. Looks and size doesn't justify the larger price tag over the solo.
Lmao. Super constructive post.
Is my new post a little better ? Id love to now hear all your reasons the PAX is better than the solo.... And not only explain that. But also please point out to me why its worth almost double ?
It's a significant improvement over "get the arizer solo", that's for sure! However, you incorrectly state that the Pax and MFLB are convection vaporizers, which is false. They're conduction vapes. You want to hear my reasons why the Pax is better than the Solo? Sorry, but I don't consider the Pax to be better than the Solo, nor have I ever in any post stated that any vape was "better than" any other vape. What I have said is that I greatly prefer the Pax over the Solo, but that's because I'm me with my wants and needs and preferences. Truth is, if someone came up to me and offered me a Solo for free with every accessory made, I'd say no thanks! Because I really enjoy my Pax. Here are a few reasons why I feel this way: - I can clean every part of the Pax, and it can be cleaned easily in under 10 mins. Only needs cleaning about once a week, which isn't an issue at all for me. - The design is marvelous, extremely simple to use, and all parts are easily replaceable and cheap to buy directly through Ploom, should you ever lose or break any. - Comes with a 10 year warranty with fantastic customer service, which is a guarantee that's unparalleled by any vaporizer company. - Oven design is the best I've seen in any portable, with the heat source fully encapsulating the herb on all sides, giving an extremely even and efficient vaping experience. - I can load the oven at home and then take it on the go without having to bring a stash container and/or grinder. Because there's no stem you can load it whenever you want and leave the extra gear behind. - It's all one piece! For a portable, I have no interest in something that requires several pieces, whether that be a stem, or a battery, or an adapter. - I absolutely love the look! And not only does the rounded anodized aluminum casing look beautiful, it's extremely durable, which is priceless to me in a portable. - I very much like Ploom as a company. I like their approach, style, and products. - It just flat out works beautifully! I've had mine and used mine for months and it has completely redefined what a portable vaporizer can do for me. I love using the Pax, it gets me insanely high, and it's something that I look forward to using. I don't see it as a drag to have to use my portable, it's a treat in itself. Lets save the best for last, the biggest reason why I love the Pax is: - SIZE. The portability of the Pax is unparalleled, in my eyes. It's extremely small and extremely inconspicuous. If I'm at home, I'm gonna be hitting my Volcano, so the point of a portable vape for me is to be able to take it on the go, and that's where the Pax excels the most. It's footprint is teeny, it's extremely easy to use, and boy does it get me high! I've used an Arizer Solo once, and I found it to be far too big, I thought it felt cheaply made, I reeealy didn't like the design, and it definitely didn't work better than my Pax. As far as pricing, I like authorized dealers with great customer service so eBay is not tempting to me. Furthermore, I have no issue investing extra money in a product that I feel is worth it to me, so the minor price jump between the Solo and the Pax was not an issue. Every single one of the reasons I just gave could be completely irrelevant to someone else. Which is why I don't think the Pax is a better vape than the Solo. I just prefer it...by a lot. And that's why if someone was debating between the MFLB and the Solo, I'd never post, "don't get either. get the pax." Peace and love.

I don't see it as a drag to have to use my portable, it's a treat in itself. 12 If I'm at home, I'm gonna be hitting my Volcano.
I numbered all your "topics" in your quote above so i could respond accordingly. 1. I misclicked a letter and my droid auto corrected it. And unfortunately I don't proof read my posts. 2. Quoted for truth 3. I think if someone offered you a brand new easy to sell portable vape worth over 100$ it would be worth it for you to say ok, Take said free vape and sell it. 4. There is literally only one spot to clean on the solo... So i guess you could say i love NOT having the parts to spend 10 mins cleaning.... And all i do is leave it in iso over night, let evaporate and that means i spent 20 seconds "cleaning" the vape AND i got oil from the glass stem. 5. I like the fact there really isn't anything to "break" on the solo.... The only thing is the glass stem which is also extremely cheap to replace. I have 4 as back ups anyway so i never order parts. 6. Unparalleled by any other vape company.... Uhh dude.. The rival vape in this thread (mflb) has a LIFETIME warranty... And people have gotten 7+ brand new ones sent to then every time one broke. Hassle free. THAT'S unmatched service. 7. "oven" again this brings me to the reason I hate conduction vapes. Its literally like a controlled oven you can't turn off. And the vapor in my opinion has MUCH more of the burnt popcorn flavor as compared to controlled hot air being pulled through an all glass path.... Do you like smoking out of a glass pipe or bong Or do you prefer metal pipes ? Food for thought :smokin: 8. You said "because there's no stem you can load it whenever" What ?? My glass stem can also be loaded whenever. And it also is much quicker to load. And I usually vape multiple bowls/trenches ect. So i would always need my grinder and bud around. But in a legal and medical state i guess its easier for some. 9 ok this is the only bonus i see here, it may be annoying for some to have to carry around the glass stem. But Its really not a big hassle at all. 10. Uhhh i also get extremely baked and look forward to using my vape. So i don't see this as a reason to prefer it over other vapes lol. 11....... You own a volcano too ? Now everything you have said all makes sense.... Oh god. I just wasted 20 mins posting this reply i could of been asleep lol... Don't even get me started on volcanos we will be here all night. Good night everyone !
Pax is NOT more efficient than Solo. That's not opinion, its fact. Conduction is far more even and far less efficient. Its easier to do in a portable so many do. But quality vapor? Convection. The solo produces some of the highest quality vapor avaliable because the whole damn thing is a battery to keep up with superior convection. The pax is smaller, prettier, with more flashing lights. It has a bigger bowl too. The solo has several bowls which can each be loaded, longer life, way better tech, way better vapor, way better with glass.
^I think you won.
Its highly possible.... Even if there was nothing to "win" i think i got my point across
