  1. I hate you. I was just about to post this.

I'm so fucking excited for this. It's coming out for xbox 360/ps3/pc omgomgomgomg

  2. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!! :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

  3. It looks fucking sick!! Is it Snake or Big Boss?

  4. This game is going to be sick.I have ALL the past MG games and I am a HUGE fan of MG so I am really happy about this, not only that but it returns Big Boss which happens to be my favorite character in the series.

  5. They're officially making a movie too!

  6. Oh. My. God.

You crazy Japs did it again.

Cannot wait, looks a billion times better than that Rising shit.

  7. Damn.. This is too good to be true ~fapfapfpfapfap~

  8. I can't wait to get blazed as shit and get sucked in to the story line and gameplay. MGS always makes my heart race. So intense.

Get off it. Platinum Games is a stellar company. Rising will be insanely awesome as well.

  10. God just watched it all again. Didn't even notice the transition into gameplay.

Seems to me to be a more refined GOTP. Which is a very good thing, Patriots refined the gameplay to perfection. Plus even though it's barely a minute of footage there seems to be a bigger focus on stealth again, rather than the third person shooter Patriots really was.

    Very excited.

Awesome that it's a Big Boss game too. Peace Walker was set in the 70's so I'm guessing this is 80's. When I was first watching it I was sure the kid in the cage was Solid Snake, and the guy in the trenchcoat was Zero but now I'm not so sure.

    EDIT

I think Rising looks like a bunch of flashy nonsense. Sorry.

  11. I'm not really interested in rising either. Doesn't even look like a MGS game man.

  12. That's because it's an action game with Raiden in it. I think that the biggest mistake you guys are making is comparing it to the other games in the series, which it is nothing like. Kojima himself stated that he wanted to make Rising, but couldn't make it work. I think the guys behind Vanquish and Bayonetta know what they're doing. Just sayin'.

  13. Just looking at it as a stand alone game though, it doesn't look like the kind of game I would enjoy. The only sort of hack n slash game I like is god of war.

  14. Cause it's not metal gear solid it's metal gear rising.

    Still looks horrible though

God of War? It's no wonder MGR isn't appealing to you, especially if that is what you consider to be the pinnacle of hack-n-slash games.

  16. Yeah I suppose it is, I don't really play many hack n slash games. God of war is probably the closest thing lol. I just enjoy metal gear games more when they are based on stealth.

That's fine. I just get upset when people are so behind their franchises, they see ANY change as problematic. I'm not trying to convince anyone to like Rising, I just feel as if it were called "The Raiden Chronicles", people would give it a little more respect. I can't wait to stalk as Big Boss again, though.

  18. Whether it's title is "Solid" or not really doesn't matter to me in the slightest. It's set in the MGS universe. Of course I'm going to compare it to the rest of the series, whether it's called Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Liquid or Metal Gear Gas. It's using characters from that universe. One character in particular whose story as a combatative cyborg ninja ended in the last MGS game.

And all I've seen from the new guys so far is Raiden throwing Metal Gear RAY's around like they're made of paper. Fuck that shit. Fuck it as hard as possible.

That's being unfair. This is supposed to be over the top. Remember what Raiden did in MGS4? Rising only makes sense if only for that. I'm cool with a different approach to the series we all know and love. This was never supposed to be a stealth game to begin with. It was tagged with the phrase "Lightning Bolt Action" before there was anything else even unveiled for the game.

I get that it's not a stealth game. Tell me what else is wrong with it, and I'll consider whatever else you are trying to say.

Also, I forgot to mention: This is a Platinum Games joint. It will be challenging.
