Just finished playing MGS2 on my xbox and completely forgot half of the game from when I played it 5 - 6 years ago. But anyways are any of you guys as into the series as I am?
I'm a huge MGS fan. Still have the original MGS for PS1, and I had 2 and 3 for the longest time (planning to get them for PS3 HD release soon). Plus I bought MGS4 before I even had a PS3 (I did that with LoZ: Twilight Princess too...). And I'm not going to lie, MGS3's ending made my 14 year old self misty-eyed.
MGS series is my favorite. Friend just got the hd collection so i'll be revisiting the series again really soon. MGS2>MGS3>MGS1>MGS4 Haven't bothered with the psp games but since its on hd collection, i'll be my first time playing that. Has anyone actually played the mgs Ac!d games? lol
Crazy but lazy fan I am! Have owned a copy since 1998 when I was only seven, though it broke after some heavy use throughout years. I still have the '98 bought copy with the Silent Hill demo intact, as well as a working copy of the game and the Virtual Missions expansion. Used to have both MGS2: Sons Of Liberty and Substances, lost the first one in a house fire. And several other very, very valuable and rare items & discs. I only recently bought MGS4 off a blade, just waiting for a good day to start playing it with a friend. Just finished Snake Eater, though I don't own a copy of my own yet
I'm in love with the MGS series. I've played ALL the games at least 5-6 play throughs and it's just as badass every time. MGS3 Snake Eater was my favorite, followed by MGS4 and MGS2. All great games though.
I was 12 or 13 when I first played Metal Gear Solid 2, and I remember my mind being blown at comprehending the story, and being generally freaked out when the mini-map was glitching and the Fake Colonel/Fake Rose fiasco. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ul8j9I90ueM]Metal Gear Solid 2 - Colonel Campbell Craziness - YouTube[/ame] "Raiden, turn off the console!" That was so badass and scary at the time. This series is art.
I dare you to get your hands on a copy of Metal Gear Solid. By the time you finish it, you'll be wading in your own tears. It's so great how Hideo Kojima likes to add those small details just for breaking the fourth wall. He's a genius!
my ringtone is the sound the codec calls make. I've played all msg games but I love the bosses in Snake Eater.
The three different ways you could beat The End from MGS3. Made me replay the game 3 times just to see. MGS2 was better the second time around, when I could fully comprehend the scale of the story. I think the game actually got some award for existential writing, but don't hold me to that, it was a wikipedia entry.
