Met two awesome cops.

I live in California and my friends came to visit me at work to get some burgers to eat.
We left on my hour break to go to the park to chief before I had to go back to work.

This park is on the highway area of town, you can go out of the town one way but most people who come into town use it.
The exit isn't really used.

So we were sitting in the truck loading up my little bong and then after about 5 minutes we see a truck that said COP on it. We guessed it meant Citizen On Patrol, my friend then said we should get out of the truck and then go sit on the bench to seem less conspicuous.

I grabbed the weed and bong and put it in my right hoodie pocket.

We then see the truck park across the street at a stop sign for about 3 minutes and we're like "Oh shit, they're onto us"

About 4 minutes later, two cops came pulling up into the park.
Remember, I have the weed and bong in my jacket pocket.

Two cops came out of the car and I was basically like "Shit, we're fucked. The COP must have saw us."

First thing they say is "How are you guys doing? You guys doing anything illegal over here?"

Me and my other friend stayed silent. One of them spoke up and said "No" very nonchalantly.

The cops said "Man, that's what we thought, we got a call from one of our security squirrels and we had to come check it out."

They asked for our ID's and one of the cops walked behind me and kept walking. He stood about 4 feet away.
Again, the cop asked "You guys have anything illegal on you?"
I still didn't say anything.


I started talking to them about our restaurant and how it was doing and that I would be happy for them to stop by. I also told them that I was on my hour break and I just wanted to hang out with my friends in peace.

They responded "Yeah, we're sorry for having to come, but you guys stay out of trouble."

They left.

About a minute later my friend stands up, walks to where the other cop stood and said


"The weed is hella visible!"

It was hanging out of my pocket, weed and my bong.

Moral of the story, some cops are awesome if you just give them respect.

 

Fixed, I was hopping around writing the story because I remembered different parts of it when I was writing it.

 

I'm so lucky that I live in California though haha.
My friend the night before actually got stopped by cops for not having a light on his bike at night and they found about a gram of weed on him. (He told them because he was about to get searched)

They opened the bag, smelled it and said "This is some alright stuff" handed it back to him and let him be on his way with a warning lol.

 

There were three of us. Me, my friend Andy, and Ri.

The cops were trying to tell a joke because we're at a park with trees and squirrels.
