Anyone ever tried this? I kept hearing about how taking melatonin would increase the vividness of your dreams as well as the likelihood of your lucid dreaming. So, I decided to pick some up. I've used it quite a few times at this point, and I must say I have noticed no effects whatsoever on my dream life, no increase in lucid dreaming. I'm still glad I have it though, because I am an insomniac and it is a surprisingly effective over the counter sleep aid, at least for me. But yea, the effects on dreaming and lucid dreaming were a bust for me. Anyone else have experience with using melatonin for its purported effects on dreaming? What were your results?

  2. Unfortunately it really won't help much with lucid dreaming that's something you have to control yourself.. if you can't wake up your inner self whilst asleep then you won't be able to control your dreams ..

Also be careful with the melatonin the amount in each pill (depending which you got) is equivalent to a whole days worth of what your body made on its own. So taking like 3 or 4 of then is actually considered an overdose believe it or not..

  3. I'd suggest if you don't mind having a higher electric bill .. and if you have a television in the room you sleep in to leave it on a channel that you generally watch or whatever channel you think would be cool (history channel, Nat get wild, adult swim) shit like that ... The noise from the TV will help your dreams lock on to something and it will convert it to some neat visuals and real world shit to make your conscience know you're sleeping.. The other day I dreamed it was going to be 92 degrees and a slope down the next day to 80 degree .. later on when I woke up I realized I was watching the news and it later showed the weather and ehat do u know .. it was gonna be 92 degrees thst day lol .. pretty neat stuff haha ...

Also fuck melatonin pills man.. you get a high tolerance for them quickly and it makes you groggy as fuck the next day or morning if you have to be up at a time before noon .. so yeah just be careful

  4. I'd mix it with alcohol and weed. Play jazz music. Have these strange shaman type dreams. Don't recommend anyone to do it though. It messes with you focus throughout the day, which could get dangerous.

  5. just research how to train yourself to achieve lucid dreaming, there's plenty of guides, just gotta practice and stay focused on what you want. if you need to TAKE something to achieve it then whats the point in fucking about with a middleman like melatonin?... if you get what im saying...

  6. I don't think the melatonin gave me lucid dreaming at all. If anything, it made me sleep like a rock, and I didn't remember any of my dreams.

I agree with the above posters that you have to train yourself to do lucid dreaming. I think it gets scary after a while though, so I stopped doing that.

  8. You need to look into astral projection if you want to get serious about lucid dreaming. Do it sober
