Now that i have every one's attention I'll speak nicely. Dr. Doom, I have no intention of becomeing upset with you. I don't think these nice people of this board would have had a bad attitude against you if you had come in here with respect and dignity. If you put Catholics in a room full of Baptist or Christians you'll always have dynamite in the end. A sugestion that I would make is to talk to the people here at the city like they are human beings and you'll most likely get good responces. I only hope that in some way you'll be able to find the one true thing in life that brings you joy as does the good herb does for many of these people as well as myself. I have back and neck problems from injuries from my child hood. Advil has just about eaten my stomach lining out. Some of the other medications that i have taken have caused more damage to my body ( that the good lord give me to care for) than if I was to smoke marijuanna for a hundred years would do. I have five medical doctors who are specialist in the field of pain and authoritis who sware by my method of pain reduction. With any drug, be it a prescribed or over the counter or made by the good lord above naturally, how you use it should be looked at more than what it is. There is a differance between use and abuse of anything. I will say that if you are in a church, that Ii think you are abusing the trust of people who you are calling the cops on. It is in the bible that "Thou shall not lie" my taking of this is, you should not tell a lie for any reason. I have to ask you one question. When you delibritly lie to those around you, do you think the good lord doesn't know what you are doing?? The only way toim be forgiven for your sins is to stop sinning when you have realised what you are doing wrong. Two rules that I believe that should be law. "Thou shall not kill the people who smoke pot by putting them in prison when they have hurt no one". "Thou shall not break up a family just because some one likes to enjoy gods gift to man kind"!! Just as I suspected the only part of my post you retained to your brain was the bullshit part. I feel you are looking to be harrassed or maybe that's all you feel is happening to you here. You are one of those people who (seriously, now) needs to step back and take a look at your whole situation. How do you think people percieve YOU. Maybe you don't see that as the issue but when you are planning on trying to spend the rest of your life with someone this is a very important thing. How you feel about yourself has a great impact on how others feel about you and how they treat you. You do seem to me to have a holier than thou attitude which will eventually come out in every serious relationship you have. It's been hard for me to just address the problem you say you come here with when you're obviously not coming here humbly (to MY home) asking for help. You show up outta the clear blue, insulting, antagonizing and at the same time cryin for help. How are we supposed to react? Do you ever put yourself in other people's positions to see the view? I think this would be a good thing for ALL people to do............especially you. Dr. Doom, I would love to hear your beliefs on marijuana, and why you think it is such a bad thing? Yes it is illegal, but do you know how it came to be illegal? please tell me you are educated on the subject of prohibition and the medical effects of marijuana, or else you have no right to look down on those who enjoy it. Now, don't go evaluating what kind of person you think i am for saying the following (like you have to everybofy else here), but I think you need to let people live their lives the way they choose. I respect your opinions. I see that you are a very religious person, and for that I respect you - after all its your life and its what YOU choose to do. Some people choose to follow various religions, some choose to follow none, and as long as they are harming nobody, there is nothing wrong with that. The same argument can be valid for the use of MJ. Many people smoke it, many dont; it doesnt hurt anybody, so why is it wrong? You say that by turning those in for smoking pot, you are in fact "saving them." Please expand on this because I would like to know what you are saving them from. People who choose to smoke pot dont deserve what you do to them. period. Hello All!! LaLa here.... getting ready to lay down some "ink" and some of the Buddies around here like to call it. Dr Doom: The anger that you percieve we in the "City" have for you, is because of your dishonesty. Marijuana, and it's users have been lied about for so long, and have suffered at the hands of the righteous indignation of those who think we need to be "SAVED" from something. As someone stated to you earlier, this is OUR safehaven, not somewhere for "non-smokers" to come and "test" our attitudes to confirm their beliefs in what the truths are about users. Ganja, extremely wise as she is, is absolutely right in her advise as to the situation with your GF. You have committed a horrid misjustice to her by not disclosing what you do for a living, and putting her in harms way, not exactly the most LOVEING thing to do to someone you care about. I have been chatting here for about 2 months now, and have found everyone to be friendly, helpful, intelligent, fun, and full of love for others.... although many of them didn't respond in a loving manner, please remember that your post was written in such a way, you opened yourself up to that. You must keep in mind that many of us have suffered, or have a friend or family member that have suffered because of people like you, and your actions. How many lives have you RUINED because of what you do for a living? How good do you feel at the end of the night knowing that what you have just done, under the guise of "employment", has limited the oppurtunities(sic) of a young man or woman who might just have been the doctor that discovers the cure for cancer or aids, or a scientist that discovers a new type of fertilizer that can help things grow in desert areas of the world? You have been given a number of oppurtunities to express to all of us here your belief regarding the actual subject of marijuana. A kind warning to you sir, if you just come at us with rhetoric we have all read before, quote statistical data at us that is weighted in favor of prohibition, repeat lies that have been propogated in the media, ect., the likelihood that anyone here will take you seriously is small. However, if you are interested in what we have to say on the subject, post your questions/belief about what MJ does/does not do, how it does/does not harm the body, how it does/does not contribute to the crime rate, then perhaps you would find that the people here are very wise, very kind, very forgiving, and willing to share their beliefs with you, as long as you recognize that we are all entitled to our beliefs, and you are not welcome to try to "save" us from ourselves. I have been diagnosed "manic" depressive in the past, and have taken the whole list of "picker upper" wonder drugs available on the market... you know what has helped me? MJ helps me to maintain an interest in life, it helps to quiet my panic and depression, it help to keep me socializing with people, it helps me sleep at night, it improves my appetite (sic). More than that... it has helped to improve my relationship with my fiance, and at the same time with my parents. It has helped me look closely at what I have always believed, and has helped me fix what I don't like about myself. I has been significant in expansion of my creative abilities.... has opened me up to learning new and different things, on a variety of subjects, and it helps me formulate all that newly acquired education into a cohessive (sic) thought process. Before you jump in again, please take a moment, and forget everything you have ever been told about MJ, forget everything you have ever read in the papers, or heard on the news, understand the real reasons that MJ was made illegal, and consider all the differnt uses for MJ and Hemp, and consider all the good that it could do in the world. You should also forget all the misconceptions you might have about WHO exactly a "pothead" is..... and on that note, you should understand that many older smokers dislike that term "pothead" because it was used to discribe them in a negative way to the public, who responded with hate and distrust of these poor young people, those are hurts that never really go away. I work in a prestigious law office. I know people that are lawyers that smoke, I know people that are engineers that smoke, I know people that are cops, that smoke, and I know people that are ministers of churches that smoke.... we are a wide variety of people, and there is not ONE pigeon hole that you could put us all in. I would encourage you to search the internet.... read whatever you can, try smoking with your GF.... how can you state anything about MJ as fact, if all your knowledge comes from what someone else TOLD you was fact?
