Meds on craigs list.

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by sgtstadanko, Oct 27, 2011.

  1. Was browsing craigs list an I seen
People trying to sell there stuff on there. They say they can verify an will hook it up. Is this a legal way to sell your stuff.

  2. A patient to patient transaction (ie donation) can only happen in 2 scenarios. Two contributing collective members can exchange medicine but in a non-profit way. The idea is that the member pays only to cover for the cost ($ and time) of growing. Or, a primary caregiver, who provides for the patient other than giving them their medicine (driving to doctors appointments, bringing meals... etc). The idea here is that some very sick people are bed ridden and can't go to a store front to get their medicine. If they can't go to a store, they most likely can't grow it themselves. Thus, the caregiver comes in. In California, a legitimate caregiver is the most legal way to distribute medicine. It is important to note that at no time are you supposed to be making a profit.

So to answer your question, craigslist is absolutely not legal in anyway.... I saw someone get busted for selling on craigslist. Do not go down that route. If you sell off craigslist, you will look like a dealer perverting the system and won't win in trial.

Selling aside, how will you bring the medicine to the patients? Will you have them come to your house? You will probably drive it.... Don't forget transporting weed around is a felony. Yes, a felony even in the state of California with a medical card. When dealing with possession in the car, People vs Kelley doesn't apply in every situation. You can drive around with however much you need. This means that if you are driving to the store, you do not need an ounce and you can get in trouble with an ounce.

So now you want to make some "transactions" to a couple people 50 miles away. Your going to give them 4 qps each. So you have 6 people 6 qps lets say. On your way you get pulled over, and the cop sees them. That is a felony, because you are driving with more than you need. Then he takes your phone and looks through it. Odds are, you probably texted 5 out of the 6 details about the transaction. Now the cop has you on 24 ounces and evidence to show your dealing. It doesn't matter if they had cards or not, at least that was the result of a particular case I learned about.

And finally, you think the DEA and every government agency won't know who you are now?

Don't buy or sell weed on craigslist.
