    I'm asking how comparing the market for medical marijuana to an unrelated medication is in any way significant.

    Viagra is one of the most "popular" medications on the market, being sold in every state in the US, whereas MMJ is only being sold in 15 states, yet the sales rival that of viagra. I think it's significant because it shows the widespread use of MMJ.

    How are they related? Viagra isn't a drug that is abused for its recreational use like marijuana is. Not to mention the fact that the MMP is basically a way for people to obtain legal marijuana for recreational use. And please don't deny that the MMP is very widely abused.

    Two different drugs, two different markets. Please explain how the market for Viagra is relevant to the market for medical marijuana.

    You might as well try to compare the market demand of apples to that of cigarettes.

    Haha dude you honestly don't think there isn't people out there using it recreationally? I bet you there is

    It also shows people are ignoring the government and using cannabis for their ailments

    Besides, its more mainstream exposure for cannabis. Good thing.

    Viagra is almost purely a recreational drug, most of the users of Viagra are the elderly, who have sex with elderly women, who are most likely all incapable of having children at their age. Last I checked, sex without the intent of procreation is recreational.

    It seems you have failed to identify the difference between using something for its intended purpose and abusing it. Using Viagra to get a boner is its intended purpose; using weed to get high is not its intended purpose.

    Feel free to compare apples and oranges though.

    nope I didn't was just making sure. been sick and really haven't gotten much sleep past few days

    Of course it shouldn't be abused, but its abused because of prohibition.

    "Abuse" in the eyes of the law is simply just possessing it. Just told my gramma this and she replies, "Well alotta people say they're sick and get it that doesn't mean it's right."
    Well MMJ is in 1/5 of the country legally, Viagra can be bought pretty much anywhere. I can walk to 7-11 and get Viagra if I wanted to.

    I don't think you can buy Viagra at 7-11 dude. Maybe "XXX HERBAL MALE ENHANCEMENT EXTRACT WITH BULL TESTOSTERONE" but not Viagra.
