Medical Marijuana in NJ

  1. New Jersey wrestles with medical marijuana legislation - NJ.com

"New Jersey lawmakers 'were very concerned about opening the floodgates, being irresponsible and allowing people who should not use this abuse this,' Assemblyman Reed Gusciora (D-Mercer), one of the sponsors of the bill, (A804), said during Thursday's Assembly Health Committee hearing. They 'certainly did not want to send out the message we are encouraging illegal drug use,' he said.

No one would be allowed to grow their own pot. The original bill would have permitted patients to grow as many as six plants -- and possess up to one additional ounce of usable marijuana. Under the new version, patients could only get the drug -- no more than one ounce a month -- through a licensed nonprofit growing facility.

New Jersey would have the most restrictive medical marijuana law in the country, lawmakers say."

I live in NJ, so this might make it easier to get some quality bud.

  2. well i guess it would be a start, but they might as well do nothing if that is the shit they are going to pass.

  3. Its a fucking joke. It will be far easier to just get your smoke the way you are now than thinking Jersey has done somethign good here. The only upside is that the law can be changed in the future. They want to help people, but only a very, very few, and only a very, very little. What a fucking ridiculous state and law this is. Again, better than nothing but only just barely - if it gets passed. It won't even come up for a full vote until they write all kinds of bullshit describing what education must be taken and passed by would be patients.

  4. Atleast we're heading somewhere...

  5. Oh wow, very good question. Umm...maybe like every other prescription medicine that exists?
