Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by yoshi424, Aug 10, 2012.

  1. Has anyone received a growing permit so to say in Alaska? Are they more strict on giving them out than other states?

  2. your marijuana card or recommendation is permit enuf....we have allot of miss informed people here in Cali as well...there is no such thing as a permit to cultivate marijuana...if you need help just google marijuana proposition Alaska and all the info you need will pop right up.

I'm pretty sure having your mmj recommendation does not allow you to legally cultivate.
There is an actual growing license that lasts for a year I think and you gotta get a new one every year if that's what you do.

  4. First: The guy gave you an answer, a correct answer at that as he is right. Your recommendation is all you need to cultivate. It speaks to the right to cultivate or be in possession of X# of plants. Now, some people can get exemptions to grow more than the 6 allowed by state law, and even the exemption and it's amounts are stated on the recommendation. You DON'T need a special license to cultivate here in Cali. Second, when someone takes the time to actually answer a question for you and the next thing you type is that you're pretty sure he is wrong, well it's time to start looking stuff up for yourself.

  5. I think you misread; someone else, not the op, said that he was wrong.(go figure hes from a non-medical state.) But yes in California you dont need a license to grow, idk about Alaska though.

  6. Thanks for pointing that out AfganiKush, wrong guy...lol.

  7. Wrong guy, wrong state and bad advice. Alaska is 6 plants total - 3 flowering, 3 in veg. CA is 12 in veg or 6 flowering, or may be increased with a docs written rec. That's for individuals, caregivers may have more.

  8. Isn't it regular state law that you can legally grow up to 25 plants in your home?

  9. yes. the regular state law as determined in Ravin vs. State of Alaska is that an individual can grow up to 25 plants and possess smoke within the privacy of their own home.
