Medical Marijuana Card (Maryland) and background checks/professional licensure

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by deathcab4xtina, Jun 22, 2018.

  1. I applied with the state and was approved, and still need to get my certification from a doctor. But I started to worry. Can having a card show up on a background check? Can it stop you from getting professional licensure (such as a social work) just for having a card? I obviously understand I’ll have to pee clean, but I want to make sure I’m not making all this schooling I’m going through for nothing.

  2. If it's classed as medical it shouldn't show up I know here in the UK if you're on certain medications you have to tell the company you work for & produce a doctor's note that proves you're not just taking them for fun lol
