Meanings of Book Quotations

  1. I was wondering if anyone, who has or who is reading a clockwork orange by Anthony Burgess, can tell me what this quote means: "In a clockwork society, human redemption will have to arise out of evil". I think i have an i sea of what it means but idk for sure
  2. I've never read it, but I have the movie

I suppose it has something to do with the treatment Alex gets at the Ludovico Institute. He emerges as a model citizen, but he's been robbed of his free will. So it's a question of whether the ends justify the means.
  3. That's kinda of what i was thinking. Like the fact that we have a choice to do good or evil makes us human and not any other creature on earth
