Hey guys I'm about a month into my first grow and I just wanted to show you some pictures and see what you guys think. I got the seeds from some really nice middies that were hairy as shit. There weren't many seeds in them, but they were fertilized, so I think that this should be some pretty good shit when we're done with it. The first picture is of the first plant germinated, and the one after that is of it one month later. There is a picture of the setup and everything...and then some more of our plants. We're growing them in his house, but his landlady is looking for someone else to be renting it so any weekend she could tell them that they are coming over. It doesn't smell too bad yet, but any ideas on what to do about smell? Also, when should be start budding them...how much more will they grow when we start budding them? Thanks
yeah we had just watered...but my brother for some reason is convinced that it doesn't matter how much water is in them because he says that a hydroponic system constantly has water in it and they grow faster, so always wet soil will have sort of the same effect...I told him he was wrong and he's going to start watering when the top couple of inches are dry.
your right you should only water when the top few inches are dry which is prob every few days depending on how big your pot size and growing conditions are. but you should water until water comes out of the bottom, pourng slow kinda so the dirt can take in the water.
what type of lights are those, they look jus like desk lamps.? i jus germinated a seed and womndering what light to use, is it true you can use them energy saving bulbs? probly not i guess lol
Yeah the one is just a regular desk lamp but it has a fluorescent bulb in it, and the other four are super-bright for their size...they're these lights my brother's housemate used for some project and then didn't need them again. I know that they aren't the greatest, but they are what they are and they seem to be doing a sufficient job as of right now. When the plant gets bigger and starts flowering we're going to consider investing in a larger unit, but will probably just end up buying a nice small lighting unit because we aren't ever going to grow more than four plants at a time (wait until these are finished growing before i verify that ) I did slap that bitch, by the way. I just want to know from any growers when they think we should start flowering assuming we want about a half o of bud apiece (give or take) and we have four plants (sort of.) And then we have to hope for some girls. He's going to be sending me some more pictures soon (as you can tell I'm kind of the brains of the operation and he is just my little...well...tool.)
