Maximizing THC content in your plants?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Crucifier, May 14, 2009.

  1. What are some tips for maximizing THC content in your plants?

  2. From what I've read:

UVB light during flowering (causes the plant to make more trichs as a self defense mechanism to avoid a sun burn)
Keeping your room dry during flowering (I've read that low humidity also ups the trich production)

Other than that, I would assume lots of light and the right ferts (high in phosphorous)

  3. Any other suggestions?

  4. Having the proper growing conditions will maximize the THC production in you plants.
If it's potency you mean, you can't physically make a cannabis plant produce any higher potency than what it's genetic DNA is.

  5. Using a seed that has high thc in it's genetic make up, and then growing it correctly. That's about it.

  6. ive heard something about molasses being used? any one know more about that please comment

  7. Its the high K in mollasses that really helps the buds. But also the sugars simulate microbes and get them to self replicate faster. More K does really help your plants during flowering.
