Masterkush and BagSeed FIRST GROW (let me know what ya think)

Discussion in 'Marijuana Grow Journals' started by ithrowcraze, Aug 8, 2008.

  1. Hey all. So my grow is actually in week 4 and i just now decided to do this. My friend recently went to amsterdam and bought me some seeds with money i gave them. Theyre feminised master kush seeds that were about 110 bucks for a pack of ten. I just started a couple to try em out and save the rest for another time. I figure i can make a bunch of clones and Im willing to wait to do that and be able to save these seeds in case i have to move or something. Originally they were in my basement but dispite having it pretty well ventilated and a fan blowing right on them one of them got powdery mildew. It only had it for about a day, right when it got it i mixed up some baking soda dish soap and water in a little spray bottle and misted it on the plants once a day for a week. Today was the last day for spraying. If you notice the later picture have some white stuff on the leaves which is just dried up baking soda residue. For anyone who experiences powdery mildew i strongly suggest to get rid of it that way as it does not slow plant growth. Anyway after getting powdery mildew i quickly moved them to the closet up stairs. My house is about 100 years old so the basement it made of stone walls making it hard to clean and keep all the nasties out. Before putting them in the closet i rubbed the walls down with a mild bleach solution. I also just recently labled them for this post so some picture dont have labels. When they were starting out i put them into Foxfarm OceanForest Soil. One of them i started in a rockwool cube just for the sake of doing it but the cube with placed in soil as well. The really tall one was started a week later then the other two.I gave them water for a 2 weeks and started them on a 1/2 solution for the first week of growth according to the foxfarm chart on their website. Its suppose to be 2 table spoons per gal but i just gave them one. I have now started them on full solution of two teaspoons of grow big and 2 table spoons of big bloom.

This is a close up of the masterkush that was on the left its definately doing the best of the 3

So you can see how everything is set up

Im currently using a 250watt HPS but will soon upgrade to a 400watt. I have them in foxfarm Ocean Forest soil and feed them nutrients every other watering. I use the triopack soil formula from FoxFarm. After this though Im switching to a homemade Ebb and Flow using Advanced Nutrients.

  2. thought id put a couple more pictures up

  3. Hey all! These plants are cranking out now. Its been about a week since i last posted pics so here some more. Im keeping them on their diet of 3tsp grow big and 2 tablespoons big bloom. I give it to them every morning and feed them straight water later at night. Sundays i just give them water though. They seem really happy and they got really big over the last week.I also just got some mylar from one of my friends and lined the inside of the closet with it.

I just got a 20 clone ez cloner and will take clones next week. Im also about to get a 400 watt light to replace to 250 watt and some T5s to go into a cabinet i bought for veg/clones

  4. looking good however your several weeks away from those plants being able to throw you clones.

let em grow up a little!

  5. Some advice.

you should upoad your pics here @ GC and let GC host them since they are in Amsterdam. I don't think hosting your pics @ image shack is a safe hosting site.

    Grow large!

  6. They are looking a little overwatered. They should be perky and reaching for the light.

Other than that they look fine. Have any of them shown preflowers yet?

    Peace:)

  7. Thanks for the advice linedrivr. Ive only been feeding them twice a day once in the morning and once at night. I give them just enough water so that a little drains out to make sure all the soil is wet. None of them have shown any preflowers but the Masterkush plants are from feminised seeds my friend got me in amsterdam Im hoping that bagseed turns out to be a girl to cause its getting bigger then the others

  8. let the soil dry out, only water every day or two, when the soil dries out it makes the roots grow and search for water, thats why your leaves are droopey too much water. but i like the grow your doing pretty good.

Thanks! I started waiting till it gets real dry now. I only water it like once a day mabey every other like you said depending on how hot it gets cause some days the water evaporates faster. I give them nutrient water all week and plain water on sundays.theyre still on 3 tsp grow big and two tbs of big bloom.

  10. Cool, any idea yet what line? Sensi, 3-part, Iguana Juice?

If you have any questions on that I'd be happy to help.

  11. I actually know nothing about advanced nutrients. Ive seen various gardens grown with it and they all had amazing results though, but any information or recomendations would help a lot!:hello:

heres updated pics. these were takin on thursday ive been really busy so i havent had the chance to update this

heres a pic of all three

  12. Hey guys my camera broke. I dropped it going down the stairs =/. Ill get more pics up soon when i get my friends camera. Theyre at least twice as big now though as when i last took pictures. Im surprised i havent had to change to five gallon pots yet but theres no signs of them being rootbound

  13. Hey all so I got some new pictures. Ive added some new members to the family. One is an outdoor cali seed that hasnt quite sprouted yet so its not in there. 4 of them i got from the this sack of pretty good weed. I was surprised when i found seeds in it even the little seed husk had resin on it. i planted em and theyre lookin good though. The youger masterkush i have is looking the best of the three. The unkown is doing really well though im hopin it turns out female. But one of the masterkushs is having a problem. about a week ago i noticed the lowest fan leaves were yellowing and dying i just dismissed this as like a normal thing. Then a couple days later the yellowing was moving up the plant. So i thought it was to much nitrogen so i started giving it plain water. Its kept going up and its at the top now. I have some pics please help!! I also just put a cd player in the grow room and play them various classical musics, Mozart , Bethoven , Vivaldi.

it looks good from far away. but the big fan leaves are dying. all the little ones are ok.

  14. Have you considered re-potting into some larger containers? A really cheap and efficient solution are the large Tupperware tubs you can buy at Walmart or wherever. The 18 gallon ones have supported 2 six-foot plants through flowering for me, in the past. They're under $10 and one of them would probably hold your 3 larger plants. Just an idea, but I would definitely transplant them before flowering. This is probably why the masterkush is yellowing, because it's going into "survival mode" and killing off what it can't support, keeping only the little leaves green. Good luck and happy growing!

  15. Well I really like the Sensi 2-part, or the Iguana Juice if you want to go organic. The 3-part is great too, more versatile imo but a little more complicated. If you've got any questions I'd be happy to help out as best I can.

  16. :hello::hello:Hey all I just got new pictures and everything is doing great! The masterkush that was sick has recovered nicely after i completly flushed its soil by pouring three gallons of water through it, after that i put it in a bigger pot. Everyone got transfered to a new pot today. The sprouts are doing really good. i gotta wait a little longer to put a little more money together to get a 1000 watt hps then i can take clones and keep them under the 250.

    heres some pics!!

  17. Looks awesome man, you're gonna love that 1k when you get it!

    Keep growin!

  18. took some clones

  19. Nice looking clones, are they just cut there or are they a couple days old?

I love cloning... I wish I had room to do more of it. Don't know why, I just love multiplying plants like that. What methods do you use? A little dip in hormone or just straight water?

  20. looking good and those clones look good. short but good
