Massively overgrown scrog. help, please.

  1. Hi all,

I have some plants that got vegged too long while I was out of town for a few weeks. I never tried a SCROG before but I decided to try it as an emergency method to keep the vertical growth down due to my low ceiling. Now they've totally overgrown their SCROG and I'm already just about out of vertical space only a week after the flip. I'd tuck them back under the screen but there's nowhere to put them and there are way too many branches crowding each other out. I started pruning off all the lower branches and some of the smaller ones that were crowding each other, then tying down the tallest ones and pruning off a few fan leaves that were shading bud sites. It took an hour to do about 2 square feet, it's a 7x4 screen and I'm not convinced it's going to work but I'm not sure what else to do. There's no room left either vertically or horizontally. I'll post a pic soon. Any ideas?
