Massachusetts Penalties So basically, Marijuana is decriminalized in my state (link above), so I never really made a big deal about getting caught by cops because I'll just end up with a $100 ticket so it's not really a big deal. But something just dawned on me... According to the MA penalties; selling, possessing, or purchasing paraphernalia can lead to a 1-2 year incarceration and $5,000 fine. Does that mean if I get caught with a bowl with resin, I'm potentially subject to those penalties? Maybe I'm reading it wrong. If not, I should probably get the bowl out of my car and stick with joints edit: Seems like that page may not be updated. http://norml.org/pdf_files/state_penalties/NORML_MA_State_Penalties.pdf ^--states that possession of paraphernalia isn't a crime it just gets confiscated, am I wrong?
Hmm, I actually got caught only once, and it was before decriminalization. State Trooper found my pipe, was a huge asshole (I think he was trying to "scare me straight"), but never cited me. A few days later I actually saw that he had stuffed my pipe into the pocket of an extra pair of jeans I had in my backseat.
Looks like you lucked out there, haha. I guess I don't have to worry about getting additional charges for keeping my pipe in my car if it's ever found?
I would keep it out of your car whenever you can, cops in our state love to be huge douchebag roid raging nazis, to put it nicely.
