Mason Jar Substitute- Unused Pickle Jars

    I have a ton if unused pickle jars, and I'm in need of some Mason Jars. Could I just use the unused pickle jars as a substitute for Mason Jars? Are they relatively smell-proof? The jars still have the new plastic on them, i.e. never had any pickle exposure.

    Yeah, but they will probably make ur bud smell a bit pickley unless there uber clean.

    They have never had pickles in them. Still have the plastic on the jars.

    Do you ever smell pickles outside their jar?

    I used jelly jars. Ran them through the dishwasher a few times to get rid of the jelly smell, and they worked great.

    I use Fletcher's yeast jars. I bake a lot of bread though, so it works out to be a great deal.


    Pickle jars would work well, but what many don't consider is the light resistance of darker glass. Dark is gooooooood. :smoke:

    are they glass or plastic? glass----v

    inside the lid where it seals against the top of the jar is there rubber? rubber----v

    next time you go to walmart buy some mason jars for like 3$ so you dont look like a weirdo with your weed in a salsa jar.

    it may be less smell containing vs a mason. only 1 way to find out. and clean with iso to get rid of pickle

    I just filled 1.5 jars with dank, smelled around, and BOOM...I couldn't smell anything. The room went from reeking to a delicate smell of berries ;)
