If ur really worried about it just take the top off and let it just sit for a hour or two a day and it will be fine.

 

is the stash already dried and cured? If so seal it up a much as possible. Oxygen is your enemy once ready to burn.

He's worried about his weed drying out and you're telling him to keep the jar open for a couple hours a day? What kind of logic is that lol Pretty sure you only need to burp the jar if there is moisture left in it, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

A mason jar should keep your weed fresh for a very long time, I don't think it matters how much is in the jar as long as it is completely airtight.

 

Yea I have a mason. It REALLY depends on the bud u put inside. If its really fresh it should still be that way for a week.

 

throw an orange peel in it, help keep it a little longer

 

U dont have to do it for an hour or whatever, 20 min or so should be good. I do this if i get some bud that hasn't been fully cured. What it does is dry out the outside of the bud alittle bit when the lid is open then when u close it moisture from the inside of the bud is drawn to the outside. And it matters the size of the jar too... u don't want a huge jar if u just have a tiny amount of weed because all that extra space in there is full of air that can dry out your bud, so just try and get a good size jar for the amount of weed u have.

 

I personally have a small mason, works perfect. Although, it does depend on the buds you are putting in the mason. DO NOT put damp bud in your mason and let it sit where ever you keep it for very long without burping it and letting it sit out with the top open or you will get mold. As for the orange peel, also should stay away from damp bud, i put orange peels in with some nice but damp bud once, and mold started to grow on the bud and the orange peels turned a nasty color and smelled real bad. But mason jars are a great way to keep your buds fresh, I do it ALL the time, just gotta use common sense, dry buds are where orange skins come in.
