Hey guys first post here on the amazing GC forums. Cant tell you all how much ive enjoyed reading posts from fellow blades! I have been on Roaccutane(Acne medication) for the past 7 months and has taken its toll on my Skin with the side effects which in turn has made me slightly depressed throughout the past 7 months. Been toking daily for the past 3 weeks and realized i have been getting Mad depression after i come down from my high, so i was just curious if sweet Mary had a role to play in my depression.
Is there a difference between Roaccutane and regular accutane? I was on accutane for almost two years and one of the side effects is depression. I was having SEVERE depression issues, if that is the case and they are the same you may want to talk to the dermatologist.
If your depression is more severe when you come down from smoking, then logically, I'd say weed (or at least coming down from it) is having a negative effect on you.

If you're cool with him and you're over the age of 18 tell him you're smoking and it makes it worse.
wait till you quit smoking weed, then life gets real depressing, plain and boring. Maybe thats just me though LOLZ. good luck with all that
Yes, weed can contribute to depression, and make it much worse. It affects everybody differently. But the Roaccutane certainly isn't helping your mental health any either.
I took regular accutane for a little bit and even after my skin cleared I was depressed for like 2 years after it was over. Switch to an antibiotic and just wash your face everyday. Accutane fucks up your mind and body. As for the ganja, yes it's a possibility it can make you depressed. Personally, I think it helps with depression, but I'm not sure about the long term use.
Thanks for the replys guys much appreciated. decided to take a T break and will be ending my cycle of Roaccutane in about 2 months their is no difference between Roaccutane and Accutane, just diffrent names for it.
If you have low serotonin levels and you are increasing your dopamine levels through the use of a mind altering substance, this could have a negative affect on your mood as your dopamine comes back down..
If used in strict moderation, mary can help a lot, but if you start to smoke a lot you get severely depressed come downs. I'd say stop smoking every day if you are, make it like a once a week thing. If you can't do that, just take a hit or two. Weed acts as a better anti depressant when taken in small doses.
