I can't seem to get the light totally straight it's level but with the wire clamps they sent me don't work too good.I appreciate any help or feedback here's pictures of my set up have a good day everyone! Is there anyway you can vent the air to outside? You're just pumping the air into the room causing the room to heat up and eventually heating the tent... But if you hadn't had temp problems then don't mind me. I'm just stating that I see Also is your fan right by the inlet for your tent? The tent is just going to pull heat from the fan into the tent. How this set up is you might as well just point the fan into the tent and make it a closed system...
I know but I can't have a lot of smell GV. On the other side of the ducking inside the tent is attached to the Cf I have the fan on the floor cause I didn't want to use a lot of ducking, cause it will make less cfm. But I know what ur talking about! I do have a window about 5 feet from the fan on the floor. Which I want to either buy a better intake fan. Or use my booster which is 100cfm. The reason it's in the tent facing up between both plants is cause I need to buy hose claps. I only had 2. Then I can attach the ducking to the booster fan and run it from my window to inside the tent. But really GV my temps have been between 78* and the highest 84* that's not that bad is it? The window help. thanks Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Yeah man as long as you're not having an issue with temp then forget it. But maybe down the way you can fix it later
Thanks bro! Today was especially Hot out! About a 35 degree increase since yesterday. But ur right I'm not gonna wait around for an issue to appear. I'm just going to fix the problem. ASAP I think if I have my in-line cf and fan hooked up right, and running my booster fan outside I wouldn't have a problem in that a spect away. But yes tomorrow I picking up hose claps, and see if I can pick up a 6" fan just for inside, sorta like the clip on I have. Thanks GV Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum mobile app
hey robbie, nice light. Im a newbie aswell, Im about a month and just over a week from seed. My light is the 300W version of your light. Im only growing 1 plant under it. I dont have a nice setup like yours though. Im just using my small closet, just enough space for the recommended are of the light. Ive got a 1 gallon cool mist humidifier in there and a big rotating fan just outside the door, blowing air into the room. I keep my light 18-24 centimetres away from the plant in veg mode, when i switch her to flowering, I believe I can put the light as close as 12 cm. I have some pictures to share, from when she was just a youngin to what she has become today. now there is a big time gab in my pictures because i had lost my camera for some time. but what i have should be good enough the last picture here was 3 days ago, i was just taking some random pictures to show a friend, when I had noticed the preflower
Nice P!!! Does that 1 gallon humidifier help cool you're grow space? Cause having a little temp issue, so now I turn my lights off during the hottest part of the day! I still need to make some adjustments. You can put your light that close to the tops of your plant? I have mine 22 inches from tops of plant. Good Luck with your grow bro... I understand! I just went by the specs for my MarsHydro 600 that has 278 True watts. with 5 watt diodes x 120. Maybe because my light is bigger? So maybe it has to be higher up. I'll send you a picture of how far the light should be from the tops of the plant. This is from marsHydro and from what I got from two reputable people on this site. The last picture that's the specs from marsHydro. My Girls are doing Good in my tent. I'm just going to order a six-inch booster fan, because I have a 4 inch but the six-inch is 240 CFM's compared to the four-inch which is only 100 CFM. Because my tent has been running a little bit hot. It's down to 79° now but it was up to 86 was the hottest. but then I got it down to 81° now it's at 79° because I turn the lights off during the daytime now, during the hottest part of the day. Then I run them at night at 18/6. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Oh, sorry I got confused with the cm and inches here is the response i got from mars hydro when i contacted them and asked, how close should i keep the light and whats the recommended grow space. This is there answer Dear Customer, Thank you for asking, and the recommended light above plants for seeding, growth and flowering time: Germination-------------24-30inches Vegetable -- --------18-24 inches Flower------12-18 inches At the same time, the recommended coverage of this light is 2*2ft( Veg), 1.5*1.5ft(Flowering). Hope I've solved your problem. Yours Sincerely, MarsHydro Ive been measuring the distance in inches im pretty sure, idk how i got cm lol. ill check how close the light is when i get home. To answer your question about my humidifier. I dont think it affects the temperature very much. I only have it in there to keep the humidity up, which is working very well. If i didnt have it in there the humidity would be like 30-40. with the humidifier in there at half power the humidity in the room rarely goes below 70. Sorry for the confusion and I hope I helped out in some way I've wanted to make a grow log but havnt gotten around to it, also due to my camera dissapearing at times, it wouldnt be a complete log good luck with your grow!
Are you guys still running your fans when your lights are Off???? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Yes you're exactly right there that exact specs been seedling it's not 24 to 36 inches away it's 30 inches for seedlings. Your plants are in veg? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Im still vegging my plant, I completely ignored the light schedule for the light, I have my light on 24 hours, and yes I will probably keep my fan on when i switch my light to 12/12. I dont have any fans or ducts for exhaust, and I also dont have a carbon scrubber (which i should probably try to build/buy soon)
If you're worried about the smell? You might need a carbon filter like you said but if you're not worried about the smell! Don't get one just by the fan by itself Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Both of my plants started to flower today! I knew my one plant was close to flower. But when I looked up close I see white pistils coming from calyxes from both girls Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I leave my fans on even the cf, when the lights are Off. I just put my cf on low and my clip on fan. I do shut the booster fan off. which I'm going to start keeping that on but once it gets more hot out. I'll be able to use my A/C. Good Luck bro Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Yes there should be circulation running 24/7 with the plants. With lights off it's OK that you turn it down but you should never turn it completely off. The plants still need air during dark
yeah im definately gonna need the smell to be on the down low, I live in an apartment that has 3 other apartments in the building. thus another reason why im gonna try to veg it out untill next month or untill i can get some extra $ to buy or build a carbon scrubber. Im already slacking on paying for the nutes i ordered on amazon. and another thing, I got home and measured how close my lights are to the plants. I figured out I was using cm and not inches, could that be the reason why some of the leaf tips are curled down? too much light? At first i thought it was because i was over watering them, its been 2-3 weeks since ive slowed down on watering and the leaf tips are still curling under. Im gonna fix the height of the light and watch it for a few days
Your right GV! That's what I do turn it down low even the CF! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
