Just installed a new TS3000 in my 3x3 tent. IMO, this light is best in a 3x3...anything larger and you will get an appreciably lower PAR at the edges. I only grow one plant at a time and I popped Skywalker OG, which is a prolific grower and taking up the entire perimeter of the tent. My last grow was LA Confidential in a 7 gallon pot under an MH TS2000. Got 12 ozs of top-shelf flower @ 9.5 weeks. I'm in a 10 gallon pot of Coast of Maine's Stonington Blend under the new TS3000 and I'm hoping for 4 more ozs, LoL. I'll keep you in the loop.
Good light man, I used the same light for a few years back about 3-4 years ago. It did really well for a 450W LED. It is a true 450W light too. I've ran 4 plants under it with great results. I've upgraded alot since then. But it's definitely a solid little light for the price.
Bryan: Forgive the poor quality of the pic...if you zoom in, you should be able to see how the colas are setting up. This is from 2 days ago. I vegged the plant under a TS2000 and just installed the 3000 this past Wednesday (during week 1 of flower). I'm hoping that the improvement in the LED array's edges will keep the entire 9 square feet of canopy under a hefty DLI.
I can hang the 3000 about 20" from the canopy top and probably deliver 850 PAR to the extreme edges of the canopy hopefully without burning those colas. The 3000 allows you to install the driver outside of the tent thankfully because that single driver can reach Temps of 150°F and the board will reach 140°F in the tent. With a 3" inline exhaust, the tent averages 81°F, which the plant seems to be tolerating well. Thanks for commenting Drosky - hope all is well on your end.
