  1. Good Day fellow blades, time has come for the test of the *NEW* Mars Hydro COB Light!

Unboxing and Over view of the light can be found on my other thread here: Mars Hydro COB Light Overview

For the grow Ill be using:
Pots: 2- 7 gal fabric pots from VIVOSUN

    medium :
We're growing these babies in a mix of Pro mix Veg and Herb + Potting with added Perlite

    Ventilation:
2- 4 inch 190 / 210 CFM inline and exhaust from iPower and Vivosun
2 small Usb fans to move air around in the tent

Light will be only the Mars Hydro Cob grow light.

The light is being kept at about 20inches away from the babies and the babies have been under the light for 2 days now.

Let's see how these strains take to the new light!

    Strain information:

  7. Nice! I'm subbed

  8. Yeah, The $239.99 is the final price( it is US price, other countries will higher due to the shipping fee)

  9. What a day, break my lense on my phones camera, power keeps cutting out, But I've managed to save everything with 2 generators! Thankfully these leds are efficient and for 4 hours i was running only the mars cob in the small tent and the QB in the big tent.

And i gatta say my babies love this light, They're in their final 7 gallon pot, so i thought they'd be slow but no! They're on their 3rd true set already! The light and root booster combo is doing exactly what these girls need to grow big and beautiful!

Pics when I fix my phone tomorrow

  10. Sorry about your phone, and glad the baby like the light

  11. Good evening blades!

Got everything back up and running perfectly, without ventilation the tent with the single cob light sat at 24.1C ( 23C room temp ) with the door partially open. Which was pretty good for the small 2x3 tent and shows great potential for micro grows.

The girls are taking really well to the light and have no stretch at 20 inches.

The ventilation is running now and the tent is sitting at 22C.
They got a organic root enhancer in their water 1 ml per 500 ml (250ml per plant) ( Very very weak stuff but works great )

Here's a couple of photos from yesterday off my wife's phone

  12. Nice, Thank you for your update!

  13. There isn't much to update this early on, the girls are nice and healthy and setting up some deep roots in their 7 gallon pots. They're 6 days old today! The larger one is the Tutankhamon.

As for the performance of the light. The one thing you won't get is a heat issue. With a small exhaust fan It's not much warmer than the room.
I can see this cob making excellent micro grow light with the very powerful cob and the heatsink that works to keep it cool as a cucumber.

I was thinking of running this light vs the 600w panel. ( similar price point different wattage ) to see How it would do. Or even a 300 just for size to performance comaprison.

Let me know what you guys think I should do! [IMG][IMG]

  14. yes,you can do side by side comparison growing.

  15. These girls are absolutely loving the light! Here's a few pics from this morning, they're getting another watering today, temps stayed at room tempurature as expected. Overall great performance so far.

Going to be dropping the light to 18 inches when I get home tonight! Excited to see their progress in a few hours! [IMG]

  16. yes, they grow much bigger now,did you check the wattage of the mars COB light with different height yet? We checked the PAR value with different height, this light really got better coverage.:weed:

  17. Looking good so far! I think running it against the 600w panel would be neat; think it'll be interesting comparing lights with a similar price point but different wattage, like you said. Good luck!

  18. I'm torn, the rotation of my crop makes it difficult to do this, I thought about it but id need to start my clones in the tent rather than compare the two lights, itd be a lot of wasted space if i did this :(

But i will keep two plants for now, and I'll be lst'ing them to keep everything nice and tidy.

  19. Hey folks a quick update!
Were at the point where they start growing quickly it seems! And boy have they grown quite a bit in the last day, today they've been watered with plain water, the tempurature is to be stable with the room with a 4 inch exhaust fan running at the lowest speed.

And now that it's getting colder the room sits at a cozy 22C

A bit of droop because they were just fed.
