Marijuana potency 20 years from now

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by rideXnitro, Feb 4, 2011.

  1. how much more potent do you think weed will be 20 years from now?

supposedly all the old folk (like my dad) say weed now a days is a lot stronger. so where
    does it go from here?

  2. It will be the same as it is now. Maybe some genetic modifications in a lab, though I doubt that it would be accessible for street selling.

Cannabis is the same as it was 20 years ago and 20 years before that. It takes a very long time to change the potential potency of a chemical in a plant naturally.

It's rather that potent cannabis is far more accessible than it was then - due to the current market - dealers were forced to find stronger stuff. Though I think you may find that stronger strains might hit the common market.

    :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

  4. its going to be like tomacco.

  5. that was a good answer i was lookin for haha. cus i always wondered how it was possible
that the potency is really any stronger. but that makes sense.

  6. thats the thing, weed was apparently shitty 30 years ago so now it became dank since then, but since were alive in a time where it is good, we dont see how it can be improved at all, just like people back then couldnt predict that weed would be this good now a days. if you get what im saying.

kinda like how 100 years ago tv, computer, cameras, all that shit didnt exist but now that they do i cant imagine anything else being invented and being as big as those things are.

  7. Obviously you don't blaze enough then if you can't think of anything.

  8. well I think its possible for it to become more dank. but thats only going to happen as the market for it starts to become bigger and more accepted.(legalized).
and more people can actually start practicing this stuff without the worry of getting arrested or whatever, and improving methods of growing. i dont know enough about growing to go any farther into it than that though.

  9. this is true.

  10. I foresee the future:

In ten years the government gets wind of an experimental marijuana plant out of 'Mother Russia' and decides to begin testing and evaluating their own project, code named: Mary. After two years of constant testing and genetic modification inside a secret base only known as 'The Hills' they come out with a new marijuana strain codenamed 'Medusa x32x16 G101.'

It is at this time that a lonely servant of the overlord known as 'Corporate' finds a recipe scribbled on a napkin that has been stored in his attic for roughly 1.5337 years. Seeing as he is from a family of well-known chemists he begins working on it immediately and in a little less than six months he had a working prototype. The following week this unnamed lonely servant begins experimenting with his new concoction and since it is a plant he loads into his tobacco pipe and begins smoking it.

What follows is highly confidential and classified in the year 2020, beware reading further.

The wave of euphoria that is experienced by our good lonely servant is one that cannot be explained, this same euphoria is experienced by test subjects at the secret government installation known as 'The Hills.' At once the lonely servant begins to give his plant out to friends, family, and colleagues. It is then decided by 'Corporate' that the lonely servant must be eliminated along with the friends, family, and colleagues.

So begins the 'Great Marijuana War' of 2025...but I can go no further than this, there is a block, more than likely nuclear annihilation...sorry...

  11. 20 years from now we'll be able to break down each chemical and get exactly what and how much we desire from marijuana.

  12. All over cannabis LOL!!

  13. dang.. no one wanted to agree with me in saying what that guy said is wrong..?

    Pity I'm not.
Access to better strains and the procedure of growing has been altered to be make producing high potency cannabis easier.
This doesn't mean that like today their were growers finding other ways to maximize the potency.
Though you probably never looked into the fact that almost all other cultivated plants took much more time than a few decades to alter on any level.
Olesmoky on the other hand makes a fair point. Though that's possible now, yet the process of doing it or accessing the byproduct of such a thing would remain similarly frustrating.

Oh and just to add, it's common courtesy that if you disagree with someone that you actually have a logical reason for it other than: 'I think I know more than he does'.
    C*nt

  15. Lets hope it's legal 20 years from now.

  16. I'm sure twenty years from not thc levels and shit might me so high they are dangerous, or have more psychedelic effects like lsd and whatnot.

  17. Totally and completely wrong. This topic has been done to death around here, try a search to learn more.

He's right and you're wrong. Weed is not more potent today than it used to be, potent weed is just more available and easier to get than it used to be. Like I told the other guy, do a search on old school strains, it's been discussed many times on this forum.

  18. Cannabis will be the same in 20 years as it has been for the last couple of thousand...Don't be so arrogant to assume otherwise.

  19. Since you have the ability to go to the future next time you go see how I
    m doing okay? Thanks:wave:

  20. nonoononnonononon

he was saying how its the same 20 years ago, i was disagreeing with what he said.. and- smh =[
