Not sure if this is the right thread but i just want to vent a little bit on my frustrations about the fact that mary Jay is illegal.. I'll compare it to alcohol.. Just think about it, marijuana can be used for many thing: Marijuana: Is issued as a medicinal solution to alleviate pain, side effects, and disease. People swear by it, and some couldn't live without it or so they say. I for one, and i know many others as well dont get colds when i smoke weed.. i almost never get sick, and i swear it's the mary j.. Hemp can be used as many many things, ranging from clothing, to paper. They have discovered hundreds of uses for hemp. It's 100 % natural! It's a fucking plant! And they sentence people to 20+ years in prison for growing A PLANT!!! Now alcohol: Known to cause many people to get very violent. (although this is def. not the case for everyone) Hangovers Known to help with no disease whatsoever (that i'm aware of) Causes liver and kidney damage Drunk drivers... I dont do it often but i can drive high if i need to just fine.. How many people do you hear that are high and kill a family in a car? Not nearly as many as drunk drivers. People wasting their lifes away sitting at bars all day, blowing money on drink after drink! I just don't understand why in the hell weed is illegal! I can see that the media has really fucked up the publics view on it, saying it causes use of stronger drugs, etc.. But come on can't people see past this BS? It's a friggn plant and it's treated like a terroist. The gov't has thought about treating it just like alcohol, taxing it, and selling only to those over 21.. Well why the hell not do it then!? take the shady dealers off the streats and make the shit legal! I know the only way we are ever going to get marijuana legalized is if we all organize and stand up for our rights, but i don't see that happening anytime soon. However i hope it does I am by NO means trying to rip on alcohol, but simply using it to compare mary j with. I'M VERY SORRY IF I OFFEND ANYONE IN THIS ARTICLE, IM JUST SO FED UP WITH READING ALL THIS SHIT ON THE NET ABOUT PEOPLE'S LIFES GETTING RUINED FOR SUCH AN INNOCENT DRUG! Thanks -David
dude, people from this generation, and the last, dont listen, nor do they care to, it will take a couple more generations for people to see the lies, because right now, if you dont use pot, most likely your opinion of it is bad, and you wont change it
Because it is too easy to grow. How would they justify growing still illegal, if people were buying it at the liquor store? It is not that easy to make alcohol and most people don't want to go to the trouble.
The Government should make it legal anyway. They gain nothing from it being illegal, they could tax its sale... Not everyone will grow, many would still buy and even if they didn't and everyone grew their own, to the Government how would that matter? They see no money from it now, so what would the difference be? If anything by making it legal the Government would save money, as it would not have to put drug enforcement money into policing weed. Nor would they have to spend money on keeping those convicted of weed related crimes alive in prison. Seriously, it is win win for the Government by making it legal. So why don't they? It all comes down to their lies and admitting they were wrong, or so I would say. As that seems to be the only thing that really makes sense. Hemp/Cannabis is a miracle plant and people should be free to use it anyway they please.
when have you ever in American history heard of the American government admiting to the American people that it has been feeding them bullshit/lies for decades ? ....probably never. ....and that's when it will become legal.
The way I see it is that legalization is going to take a long time. But the only thing you can do is try to convince at least one person of what you believe in. This way over time the amt of ppl that know the truth will outnumber the ppl who are lied to. Then we can get to passing laws and slowly going towards legalization. Honestly I would be extatic if it was just de-criminalized.
Perfectly quoted. I've had not even communication just fucking arguments about the benefits of pot/hemp to the body and environment. They still claim "oh it causes lung cancer because it has carcinogens", or "oh it makes you lazy or stupid", and finally "theres no way pot can be used for oil,electricity and food". People not all but more will see the truth and believe it like they should. Its sad how propaganda works most of all. Like people don't believe how many lies their are in this world. They think oh if it works for me then its ok. That ain't the way to live it needs to work probably not for all but for the majority of the citizens. People think about themselves too much. Connection to other people is the biggest thing in life. The biggest thing that pisses me off is when people like my brother say "oh you got it from the internet its certainly false information" WHY WOULD someone on the internet waste their time putting out studies from "nutritionist" the people who study plants ( cannabis) and claim it isn't bad for you. I have no vocabulary but so many people follow what their told. Thats why pot is so great. Your free, the biggest things in survival are drinking,eating, and sleeping. Maybe even reproducing lol and people who smoke do those things usually and it shows what a human really is. I hate being taught how to live. Everyone should live the way they want. Restrictions on that for sure but making smoking or possession of harmless pot is outrageous. I think the government is a true dick. I mean they think so much about themselves then everyone else. Capitalism as even said in the bible ruins people. Like people on GC have said Amsterdam is a friendly place. Never been there but thats how people should live. I mean having big cars or nice houses shouldn't make you happy. Riches one day will be gone and you can be robbed or your company could go bankrupt whatever. Anyway what I'm trying to say is that people need to focus on their real emotions than anything else. Being happy and poor is fine but being depressed and rich sucks no matter what. Emotions are the most important thing in your life. Great because pot helps them out so much and pot expresses them more than normal sobriety does. How many people die because of drinking and driving? Many people die because of alcohol related, than marijuana. How much does the government spends to process somebody, that was caught with marijuana? Millions of dollars, our tax money. These are some questions that I ask to the police officers that I work with. I just want to smoke in comfort of my home, thats all.
